i'd love it if the world were a just place. if it were, i wouldn't be going to court in the first place.
and if judgement on appearance can factor into the judge's decision, a little hair color is a small thing on my part.

i know a person's appearance in court is a pretty big deal, i saw a woman walk out of the court room when i went to file my complaint, she was in her pajamas.
i couldn't help but think, "she came to court in her pajamas?!"

Oh Pomme, i'm in southern Arkansas, going into court as a woman of the cloth would not help matters...

You're correct in saying that appearance counts for much in court.  I was a topless dancer many long years ago & had to appear in court to testify against someone who had stolen from our bar & I presented myself as a very shy conservative teacher/librarian type.  I already had brown hair & glasses & played the rest of it to type.

One time my hairdresser made a mistake & my hair ended up purple.  Most of the time, my bosses wouldn't have minded, but I had to do some presentations that week, so they told me to do something about it.  There was a product that I used that would rinse out in 6-8 washes that worked great.  I wish that I could remember the name of it, but I got it at the grocery store I think.  I also agree that Feria is pretty easy on my hair.  I had to dye it twice in 2 days a couple of months ago & it didn't seem to harm it.

Good luck!!

It's brainless, I know - but people do associate red hair with a fiery temper.  I'd go with Sandra's conservative hairstyle idea - plus a pair of glasses for good measure.  Best of both worlds that way.

Poen, I do not have a "fiery temper" **stomps foot**

well, there is always comprimise... i could strip it of the demi color currently on and color it a shade duller than my natural color.

sigh, i'd sooner be thought of as Melanie long before i was accused of being a Scarlette O'Hara.

Yes, I have seen a woman walk into court barefoot too.  That does nothing to advance your case.  When dealing with the courts and police err on the side of being conservative and careful.  Linnaea has good advice about playing the part the judges and social workers, etc want to see.

Anything from manicpanic is wonderful!!!  I loves those colors.  I wish that I could get a job where haircolor didn't matter, but what's under the hair is what counts.  *sigh*

ETA:  That's exactly the color my hair was from the hairdresser mistake.  I loved that color!!!

I have heard from quite a lot of testimonials on the product that manic panic will not work very well if you have dark hair, and to get great results you should bleach your hair first.

Pin it up and put a really pretty hat on, or wear a scarf over it?

lol, my mother was a cosmotologist, i learned a lot from her. i don't trust anyone but me to touch my hair.
my hair is rather pourus from coloring it, so i'm pretty sure i'll have to strip out even a wash out color.
maybe i should consider a wig...
nah, that would be one more thing to worry about in there.

Ooooooh, do it Greeds!  I'd pay good money to see that!!!  And then you & I could hit the road & do some serious team driving & make big bucks & you could get across the pond.  I like it.  It solves everything.
