I know. I am watching it right now on the news. I am so saddened, she was a lady, elegant, beautiful and so talented.  I feel horrible for her husband and children.

Yes isn't it though angelika? I am sure that a skiing lesson turning into a fatality is just not anything anyone thinks of...how tragic.

I know, my god was a twist of fate.  Right now they are showing scenes from that movie where she met her husband...so sad.

I think it's even sadder because it's so unexpected. Condolences and warm thoughts to her family

I find the whole thing shocking. Shocking! A beginners lesson!  Not some downhill race at 50 miles per hour and running headlong into a tree. A beginners lesson is trying to stand turn and get your bearings. Whoops you fall! Laugh, get embarrassed then get back up possibly with the help of your instructor. Period. The end. Not death. You don't die for a beginners lesson! This just freaks me out.

It's tragic, especially because it was so unexpected. I can't get my head around the way that she died.

I was blown away when I found out she had passed away.  Apparently, though, she wasn't wearing a helmut.  May God watch over her and her family.

It is sad. She was relatively young and she leaves behind an ailing husband as well as a rather young family.  She seemed to be a class act.

Life can end in so many tragic and yet simplistic ways.  But life is not to be taken for granted or to be shied away from.  You want your life enriched then you have to be willing to "put yourself out there."

Skiing lessons so routine...So unpredictable.

I had been hoping and praying that she would recover like many others.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Very sad indeed. I wish her family and friends much comfort at this difficult time.

I saw a picture of the bunny slope, it did not look as steep as most
driveways.

May she rest in peace, at least now more people will be aware
how devastating even minor head injuries can be.

It sounds like she was a nice lady.  I'm always amazed at the outpouring of sympathy from strangers for people who die that are primarily known for being really good at pretending they are somone else.

Well, I don't know much about Natasha, but I am familiar with many of her husband's movies .
{Liam Neeson}I love his portrayal of Jean Valjean, in the movie version of Les Miserables.

She died after hitting her head on a bunny slope, and it is a sad way to die.
She was a mother with 2 fairly young children, they appeared to be a happy family.

You never know... here in St Louis a father took his little girl to a Blues Hockey game. A slap shot hit her in the head but she was fine... laughed and held up the puck afterwards.

Later that night she collapsed and died from the brain injury.

Life is so fragile... the good and innocent seen to die so easily while the evil live almost forever.

Butch, great point.
I work with medically fragile special needs students, many with seizure disorders.
I once had a young man, that was born normal and rolled off of a changing table at day care and
now has brain damage.
I won't start on the stories, but people really should not take any
head injury as no big deal.

My sister told me about this earlier in the evening when we were out in the finally warmer weather taking her dogs for a spin. I was shocked.

Life is fragile, and when one has any sort of brush stroke close to it often feels the truth of this.

My heart goes out to her wonderful family. They are very talented and as domiguy says, classy. I have been a fan of her Mother for yonks. Her sister is so beautiful, I didnt realize she was a Redgrave unitl after I was well and truly intrigued by her. Her aunt is a great talent too. I was not aware of her connection to Liam Neilson who has as much soul as the earth under parking lots. I barely know Natasha Richardson's work, in any conscious way anyway. Maybe I have watched her, much like how I watched Joely and been drawn in and mesmerized by her very skin, not realizing her family roots. I look forward to any movie crossing my path with her in it.

It is a tragedy. I wish them the warmest condolences in this hideous time.
