Okay, here's a hug from me, Fergus...and I am definitely an old sod. So consider yourself soddenly hugged.

I sometimes get the funk, too. Friends help, right?

Bob

LOL!

Cheeky pup, with a name like "Fergus" and talk of Paddy's day the ol' sod was a reference to Eire as I'm sure you know.

been in a funk too.. for about a month. i'll give you my coping strategies.

Music. More music. Music that suits my mood. i've recently dedicated two linkin park songs to a few i know :D

keep busy. Just do things, whatever. Cos if your busy atleast it gives you something to think about, something else to focus on.
Of course there will be times when you're not busy and well, you feel it fully, especially late at night. Heh.

Late at night i try watching movies. Recently went back to the library to get books to read. Cos i love to read and it takes me to other places. No longer am i here.. i am there in that world. The things that bring me down, no longer exsist, LOL until i look up from the book!

Keep busy. Do the laundry that needs to be done, take a walk, wash the windows. Whatever. Yup, i feel you no interest, no desire. Who really cares anyways? But do it. Because before you know it, another day has passed, you've been productive and you get to run off to the dream world for how ever long till you have to start the process all over again.

The biggest thing, is try not to wallow in it. i almost did that tonight. Bad miscommunication lead to me feeling like i was punched in the stomach and i could feel the weight of everything. When things like this happen. DONT STAY THERE AND THINK About it (which i did, till it occured to me). Get up. Do something. Re focus. Preferrably on something postive and productive.

Even though you might have no interest in nothing and could care less about anything. TRY and find things to interest you. For me, the library books and my programming class.

Sleep. If you cant change your head space, sometimes sleep helps bring you out.

and best of all which i practice most. Is smile and pretend. <smiles> The more you pretend that things are "okay" the sooner they will eventually be so. Eventually you will convince yourself. LOL

Oh and try and remember, (my best anology) that its just a storm you need to hold and it will soon pass. It'll soon pass, just hold on till then.

trust me. it will pass. eventually. tho it may take awhile. it'll pass.
