making what facts up???

Fox news have told many lies.

Saying that Obama attended a Muslim medrassa and misquoating his cousin to make it seem like he said Obama is Muslim, when he said nothing like that.  Those are just two examples.

Hence, the neo-con obsession w/ him....he-he

Ya`ll are pissed at`m cuz he wiped the floor with ya.

I don't think anyone is obsessed with him. They just think he is an idiot.

Now you want to see an obsessed mod of idiots....listen to Rush and the libs who love to talk about him. There's an obsession.

kittinSol -> RE: Keith Olbermann and the Twitter mess ... (3/31/2009 8:21:12 AM)

You're funny, boi... your cricicism seems to only go one way, but if you were intellectually honest, you would equally criticize the OP for this thread, as well as the many people who love Limbaugh & Co. and who, in fact, spend their entire lives quoting them ad nauseam on forum boards and internet blogs. But you only seem to be appalled by the libewals. Stwange, dat.

All of the news have told many lies.

Just fixing that line. I would hate to have you thinking the other sources are any more unbiased.

Well there have been threads bashing Rush and none bashing KO so why would I call him out on this thread.

as well as the many people who love Limbaugh & Co. and who, in fact, spend their entire lives quoting them ad nauseam on forum boards
Actually the only ones I can think of who have quoted Rush as nauseam, were liberals who were bashing him at the time. Maybe I missed all the threads that were started about how intelligent he is, so I have not seen the quotes you were refering to.

and internet blogs.
I don't read blogs, so I can't comment on that part.

But you only seem to be appalled by the libewals
No, I am just as appalled by many of the repubs also.

. Stwange, dat.

Oh and I still don't see any sign that anyone is obsessing over KO,

Owner59 -> RE: Keith Olbermann and the Twitter mess ... (3/31/2009 8:38:49 AM)

And it`s the same rant with the words rearranged a little each time.

You really never add anything to the discussion other than this rant of yours.

Added.

Oh and the other one."if you don`t like it,why do you listen/watch/read"?

Which I now ask you.......

If you don`t like it,why do you read and post?

And you`ll excuse us for talking about Limbaugh and co., considering they`re driving the debate and the dead-end policy of the republican party.

Eg. the "belief" that health care is a right is an opinion. That societies only prosper under competition and that lack of competition stifles productivity are facts. It is up to those who believe health care is a right to reconcile the two or refute the facts.

Codswallop.

The basis of a healthy society is the family unit and cooperation and care within the community.

Over 20 years of 'competition' to stimulate productivity has only produced higher profits and bonuses for those at the top and increased exploitation, poverty, and social division among people not to mention the loss of income, livelihoods and dumbing down of society.

Not to mention also the decline of the United States from a world superpower to a second rate post industrial nation like the rest of the Western world.

You left out the highest standard of living ever enjoyed by any population in history.

Exploitation my ass. Put down your copy of Das Kapital and get in the 21st century.

Factual propaganda, yes. You ought to look up the league table of countries with the highest standards of living on the planet: the U.S. are quite far behind. For some, it's all subjective, however, and some people actually enjoy no healthcare and crappy infrastructures. Check out this link: it's very subjective. You might enjoy it :-) . http://www.internationalliving.com/Internal-Components/Further-Resources/qofl2009

Fact.
Perhaps a definition of "fact" might be in order...as opposed to subjective opinion. There are of course many sources for definition's...for our purposes The Oxford English Dictionary or perhap's Webster's will do.

Yeah right. And in many places in Asia and Africa you don't have to walk more than a day to reach supplies of drinkable water. Better shopping malls with more places for the street homeless to sleep, but let's not forget that many now have their own cars to sleep in.

I suppose it all depends upon the viewer's ability to see through illusions.

And yes, I do seperate opinion posts from (supposedly) factual posts. Eg. the "belief" that health care is a right is an opinion. That societies only prosper under competition and that lack of competition stifles productivity are facts. It is up to those who believe health care is a right to reconcile the two or refute the facts.

Yet one more time, we have you claiming "facts" without a shred of documentation to support it.

And when someone disputes the "facts" you offer you try to turn the tables and pretend it is up to them to prove you wrong rather than you supporting your argument in the first place.

MarsBonfire -> RE: Keith Olbermann and the Twitter mess ... (3/31/2009 3:43:37 PM)

Interesting thing about the conservatives, and this whole healthcare blowup: (at least to me, in a philosophical sense)

The GOP, as they are so fond of repeating, is the "party of God." They like to play up their connections to Christianity because it gets them votes.

Yet, Christianity is based on the idea of loving thy neighbor, and being judged by how you treat the least of those among you.

Conservatives take special pains to single out single mothers, the poor, illegal immagrants, gays... basically anyone they can demonize...and use the fear in the general population, in order to gain votes and power. These are the very people that Christ said they should be reaching out to, in order to help. Instead, they say that it will cost too much, it would send the wrong moral message (?!) and cut into our profits... (Imagine Daffy Duck hiding his treasure screaming, "IT'S MINE I TELL YOU! MINE MINE MINE!!!)

Instead, this work of building a truely christ-like society is left up to the Dems, for the most part.

This includes healthcare... which is helping to ease the suffering of the afflicted. (You know, like that Jesus guy healing lepers, and curing the blind, etc.)

So in a general sense, the conservatives are fake Christians. They put their money before their fellow man. They serve Ceasar (call them what you like... the military, big oil, special interests like insurance companies) rather than God, and do not follow Christ's example. They are hypocrites of the highest order.

At least, that's the way it has always seemed to be to me...

just sayin...
