Owner, I know many who are high-ranking who oppose torture per se in the war arena. I don't think that they are wrong. I would prefer that it didn't happen to anyone, in any country's army, etc. People don't usually say, "I think torture is great, we need more of it in our wars." However, to comment on the specific use of a caterpillar on the POW mentioned in the article, I don't think it equates to the things that have been linked to throughout this thread. Would it cause anxiety/panic in the phobic person? Most probably yes. In my opinion, that particular action does not equate with torture. If that is the case, by definition, I have been tortured by spiders and other creepy crawlies dangled in my general direction by my next generation people, who stand there and squeal in delight at my hysterics.
