Thank you for the opportunity.

I'm sick to death with the way you treat your people.  You don't see them everyday, but I do.  I know every face and every name.  Can you say that?  Do you even know what it's like to be them for a day?  Bone weary after a long shift of twelve hours of physical labor that you probably couldn't even hack because your ass has been sitting in an office for eight hours in a comfortable chair.  Telling them that, in this economy, we're doing this to make sure that everyone keeps their job.  In the meantime, how many of them have had to have knee reconstructions, hip replacements, and literally worn their feet out, forcing them on short term disability.

What about the cutback you've imposed?  The ones you said were necessary to stay afloat, while you're pocketing bonuses?  I noticed there was no cutbacks up front.  Not one of you has lost your job and had no way to feed your family.  In addition, you're adding on.  You've instituted policies that have made one person do the job that used to be done by three on the production side.  Not once have I ever seen one of you say that you give a damn.  Instead, what I hear you say is they should feel lucky that they have a job at all.

Every day, I go in to that same job, and shake My head.  I come home with My own feet aching because I seriously believe that the damage has already been done for My arches to fall.  My son's already learned that, if I pull in the drive and don't come into the house in ten minutes, he has to come get Me because I'm not able to walk.  I get into the house and shake My head more, because I know that those under Me have it even worse.

I'm outraged at you, big business.  I have no idea of how you sleep at night.

Dear Big Business -

Looking at GM, Chrysler and Ford, its easy to see why you're leaving us. The Unions are making unrealistic demands on you, the government is punishing you with endless regulations and the highest tax rates in the world...

I'm not angry with you, I'm just sad. It's sad to see America turning into a typical far left banana republic like this. I only have one request to make of you. Just, will the last one of you to leave please be sure to shut off the lights because power generation here is quickly becoming a thing of legends and fairy tales.

Poor BB. My heart bleeds for you: it's horrible how ungrateful the people you exploited all these years are. Please find new ways to make money out of money out of money out of money and to create more hedge funds to put more fake money out of harm's way. We want you to succeed, so that we don't have to.

Big business -

You have one huge advantage over the small guys - economy of scale.  You can afford the best machinery, the brightest people, etc.

That said, you have mismanaged the last few years.  You have developed an entitlement mindset, and think that the country owes you.  You're "too big to fail".

Nope.  You've laid off and offshored.  You've been lax on quality, and your overseas customer support is a joke.

If you cannot provide a good service while being a good citizen, you deserve to not survive.

using FR

I buy as little new as possible. I don't want your new junk cars and TVs, I want the old junk, it was made alot better. You get as little of my money as is humanly possible, while I buy used cars, I would buy used gasoline if only I could.  If I could get others to stop buying your junk I would surely do it, closing one of the largest consumer nation's back on you, as you have turned your back on us.

Oh, and by the way, I know a bit more about the evil crap you do, like how you got lobbyists with big enough money to change the law, so don't come crying to me about regulations, you allowed most of these regulations to prevent more competition. Yes I do know this. Kinda nice that Obama just shoved a bunch more shit down your throat that you were not ready for. Now the shoe is on the other foot.

And I think it's poetic justice that getting into the banking business hurt you so much. Goes to show you. Unions ? All you needed was some onions. You had to have that almighty buck and caved into demands no sane Man ever would. You played right into their hands. Note that unions are not looking for a bailout. You've been taken, how does it FEEL ?

So don't count on my money, respect nor pity, you deserve none of these.

So can anyone get me a SD186G CRT for my 1989 Sony XBR ? It is going to be around a while. And I'll be needing a radio for a 1995 GMC Jimmy. I am determined to get the last ounce out of everything I own, just so you don't get my money.

And, I will spread the word.

Ah it will never happen popeye. BB will never bring back manufacturing to the US, it has gone on far too long and they've invested too much in other countries. There has to be a new focus (no, I don't know what that should be but my mind leans toward the medical field. Especially if we can start using stem cell research) for industry here, but it won't be bringing back factories or even call centers. It simply is not cost efficient.

My message is:
Yeah I get it that just about everything is being produced offshore, but doesn't that mean that your costs are lower?
Yup I thought so.
Therefore since your costs are lower dammit you need to start making OUR costs as customers lower!

Alas, the goal is to maximise profits, not to be fairer to a mostly captive audience.

As an employee of 'big business' for 33 years ( AT&T ) I hope you continue doing what you have always done. I hope you continue to make profits so my health care benefits stay as they are. I hope you continue to pay dividends on the stock I own. I hope AT&T grows even more so they can hire more employees making a very good living.

Dear Big Business,

I am unable to decide if I am upset with you or if I should learn from you. The Idea of this country when it stated was as a place where if you worked hard and were smart you could be as rich as anyone. You have done this, however the down side of this is that you have done it by removing the ability for other people in this country to benifit from the practice.

Your Factories are in other countries so you aren't supporting the country that is supporting you, however the country that is supporting you want 3 times as much for the same product and so you are simply finding the best financially responsible product you can.

Your Employees are either ovber paid or underpaid. I always tend to falter on this one. Where as those who are in the offices do make the company function just as much as the man on the floor the difference in pay is so great as to creat a classes within the working class where worth is no longer based on output but on what is expected for that job. Because of this a person who oversees the workers makes 5 to 6 times as much as those who are actually working and making the product that makes your company thrive. Where as you are creating jobs for those people those people can't always survive on the wage you pay for that job.

I commend you on your ability to always make sure you matter the change in taxes your bottom line never changes. It shows you have the ability to maximize your profit regardless of trends in the market, However this is offten done by moving the burden to the people who again make you money. The Widget you sold for 1.75 yesterday you just chared 3.00 for today and so even though you pay more in taxes no one sees the actual loss except for the customer making you money.

Like I said I do not know if I am upset with you or not, what I do know is that if you look at the situation someones going to give. Either you or me, here is the deal I can live without you...... You cannot live without me.

BB,

I'm not surprised that you would continue to take advantage of the countless whiners who still support you by buying both your common stocks and your products, as well as the system that supports you in the first place, regardless of what actions you take to their detriment.

Nor am I surprised how you've used your wealth and influence to successfully aligned yourselves with government and media, to keep the whiners dazed, confused, divided, addicted to vain entertainment, and essentially powerless... as you continue your pursuit of maximum profits.

None can be more hopelessly enslaved than those who believe they're free. And hardly anyone thinks about what it means to be "well adjusted" in an abberant, now global society where 1% of the people own 50% of the wealth... while thousands die daily of starvation. There's little doubt that you've done your job well.

I will close with a thought I hope keeps you up many nights in your future, though I doubt it will serve its intended purpose: As you gain the world, you have lost your soul. And I personally, will continue trying to bring light to those who blindly serve you.

edited to fix typo

Dear corporation,

you can not con a con.   I do not wish to buy a contract with you.   Every thing does not have to be a plan.  I should not have to take a class on how to use a phone or TV.

You can shove cable, TV, cell phones, extended warranties, insurance, call centers, voice menus into file 86.

I do not want to "talk" to a fricken computer.

And I will never attend a ball game at the ACME TAMPON STADIUM.

so there.  !

I have a family member that ATT jagged.    2 months short of a pension.   per a merger.   Their stock then went on to lose money, then the branch was spun off.

ACME TAMPON STADIUM ?

Dude, every once in a while you come up with something like that, but this one is for the books ! (big LOL)

But it does bring up a point, why do we have Progressive Field ? They are an insurance company.

Another point is, a buddy pointed this out, advertising almost works in reverse for him. I agree because I know what it costs to make a decent TV commercial. Guess who pays for that ?

So thanks also for cluttering our highways and byways with pretty (moving now !) pictures inviting us to open checking accounts at your bank, which may be out of business in six months.
