My idea is that being branded is a bad idea.  It is dangerous, and you are a submissive; not livestock.

I disagree

I have a few friends that have been branded and quite successfully and ended up with really nice markings in the end.

I agree that you should go to someone that has a clue as to what they are doing tho.  I'd not just let any idiot burn my skin.

Anything is dangerous if done by someone unknowledgeable geez.

It's no worse then a cutting, actually there is less blood so it's probably better.

i agree. I recall a hospital patient who was very ill due to a friend attempting a simple piercing.

I ended up with meningitis from piercing my own ears when I was 14

Ok this kind of comment really pisses me off. Tats, body mod, branding for me are all forms of self expression. I have 5 tats and every one of them has some meaning to me.
There are many forms of self expression, clothing for example. In your pic you chose to express yourself by wearing a pink corset with black knickers. I perhaps think you look stupid in them but its your choice to wear them. Just as it is my choice to wear tats.
You can remove that corset anytime you like and in my old age i can have my tats removed if i wish, expensive admittedly but effective nowadays.
Your stuff is just cheaper to buy and cheaper to remove thats all. Now which looks cheaper, well thats personal opinion.

~On topic~
I love the idea of branding but think you should really read, read again and then probably read again steels post [:D]

InTonguesslut- Nicely put... I have 22 tattoos and love them all! I have also had both My boys (one previous and one current) tattoo'd with My special mark.

**by the way the 'tramp stamp' comment .... and "look silly" all come on** I love how people hear something and just roll with it. Just remember you posted a pic of yourself, people surely can make comments and assumptions about you and your appearance.

That's probably one of the most insulting things I have had the misfortune to have made the mistake of reading on the forums.

My initial response to this was don't get branded. After reflecting for a moment i remembered that one drunken night my friend branded me with a hot butter knife. and then, i remembered even further back when i was in my teens that we used to use punks (that's a cattail that grows in swamps) to burn crosses into our arms and or wrists. They burn hot and for a long time. that being said i agree that you are not cattle and if you are doing it for yourself, whatever makes you happy. But, like a tattoo and i have one, the only names on me are of my kids. My soon to be ex-wife of 18 yrs is not.

@pettitoes....some do not see it that way. For some it is a declaration of love and devotion to their Master or Dom. There is nothing wrong with it if both parties are in agreement.
I actually see it as a beautiful thing. Yes, the one that is doing the branding has to know what they are doing. And you need to have the right ointments and such for afterward.
I am a branded slave and i see my brand as a special and wonderful thing. It brought Master and i closer and i know that i will be his property forever. There is a picture of my brand on my CM profile. It goes along with my name that Master gave me.

I'm sure if you try what Domin8tingUrdrmz suggested you won't go far wrong. It'd work for Me, no question.

subinchico -> RE: branding (4/25/2009 11:26:11 PM)

I love the initials carved into me, from six different dommes playing in stilettos (only 2 sets remain though) . When I look at them, I often get so turned on I climax because they've blessed me with there beautiful evil.  Love it!
