His video of the beating aftermath rings with lies.  this one rings with "setup."  This guy is an assclown and a troublemaker who needs to be arrested, locked up with anal raping Bubba, and then he'll have something to whine and bitch about.
If not homoerotic,a bit harsh...no?

Sounds like some seriously hardcore homoerotica there, Knight.

I'm working on the script now.  "Preacher gets violated - scene one."

Some beleive the punishment should not exceed the damage of the offence.....I don't know about you but rooming with Bubba seems cruel and inhumane.

Yeah.  We shouldn't do that to poor Bubba.  We'll give him a roomate with personality.

More like "Preacher gets converted."
Hey, who was that "preacher" who was disgraced last year with the "sexuallity issues?"
He'd be a natural in the part.

The guy may be an idiot, but I still find the level of violence aimed at him on this thread absolutely incredible. Some people here have serious issues.

Some people need their asses kicked and if they got it, they could become useful members of society.  That's all we're saying.

i guess its different strokes for different folks......

the fact that some would NOT wanna snatch him out of the car and beat him senseless blows my mind.....goes against everything i felt when i watched the video....i watched to the end hoping he would be throw to the ground and come up with a face full of asphalt....

i do love a happy ending, but alas, it isnt always possible to have one.

That's the thing though, that's not all you're saying - perhaps you don't realise it?  And to be fair to you, you're not alone in advocating extreme violence for what strikes me as a relatively minor exaction. But as JsASub said above... different strokes.

I honestly do think he deserves jail time for interfering with these men at thier jobs.  The Bubba embellishment is just me being the asshole that I am.  Other than that and a good asskicking, I'm not sure what else I'm advocating.  I'm definately not advocating violating his rights because their is no constitutional right to harass peace officers doing their duty.

FR -
Get a grip, folks.

As I understand it, this man has had to stop at this checkpoint frequently.  He has been hasseled at times.

The fact is, this is not a checkpoint at a border between the US and Mexico (or any other nation).  This is an INTERNAL checkpoint...something I'm not at all convinced is Constitutional.  IMO, the Constitution is pretty clear as regards the rights of its citizens when it comes to search and siezure.  Just being obnoxious is not grounds, under the Constitution, for violating the rights of a US Citizen.  Like him or not, they guy does know his rights in this matter.  Pity is, more people don't, and of those who do, way too many acquiece under pressure.

You can bet your sweet tushie they did not allow this man to pass because their superiors decided they had "better things to do".  Someone further up the food chain checked with someone regard the legalities, and their chances of getting drug into court over this.

I personally know a very fine fellow, a die hard, partiotic American, family man, rock musician, physician, and Dead Head.  He looks like a cross between a hippy and a thug.  Since the man started driving, he's been stopped and searched pretty much every time he crosses the US border.  This has gone on for decades.  Based on nothing at all, save he looks like a cross between a thug and a hippy.  To me, he looks like a huge teddy bear, but that is beside the point.  It is important to have border security.  It is every bit as important to protect the liberties for which Americans have fought, bled, and died.

Here's some commentary for those of you not too close minded to try and thing a bit less emotionally regarding this incident:
http://lpcitrus.blogspot.com/2009/04/supreme-court-makes-decision-for.html#links

This isn't about personality, folks, or whether we think someone is an asshole.  It is about your rights as a citizen.

Grace
