Obama’s Visit

The first case was seen in Mexico on April 13. The outbreak coincided with the President Barack Obama’s trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at Mexico’s anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archeologist who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported. The newspaper didn’t confirm if Solis had swine flu or not.

Seriously.. is there nothing that you can not link those evil Democrat liberals with? Seriously.

So it um.. got there 3 days ahead of him, ( forget all of the cases they didnt notice, or the incubation times)  and in this blokes case incubated in less then 24 hours killing him? The prez personally handed it off to a archeologist eh?

Brilliant.. really.

Some body hand the Prez some purell.

Damn with idjits like this no wonder why I stopped posting here.. and took my ass over to greener pastures.

I never ripped on the president here... I never commented at all.

I relayed a report that he was greeted in Mexico by someone who may have died a day later from swine flu... everything else, you read into it.

You're overreacting.

Yeah, there's a reason I didn't even dignify that one with a response.  Someone has finally gone off the deep end I'm afraid.  And THAT'S why I'm missing you so much around here huh?  Just ignore them, and pay attention to us cool kids. ;) *HUG*

Geez...

Once again...

I didn't rip on the president. Apparently you and Gwyn are preconditioned to read things into certain posts which are not there.

The concern would be that the president caught swine flu from the archeologist... not the other way around.

Reminder to all, please research what you're letting someone put into your body before accepting any injections, forced or voluntary. Doesn't really need saying, but then again, millions are probably lining up for whatever the government tells them they need "for your own safety and security".

Well it was misleading. If you look at the average response.. it is natural to come to the conclusion we did. If I was mistaken, I appologise.

I eat perishables too.. but my ass is stocking up. I already keep a months worth on hand due to the damn hurricaines down here. Looks like beanieweenies and tuna shopping time.

For what it is worth... a military friend of mine emailed me before this shit hit the fan telling me to stock up, and buy a mask. I am listening to him.

I am not going to change my daily routine.. but I will be prepared. (holds up fingers in the boyscout salute)

Just because it hasnt happened since the late 60's does not mean it is not due to happen now.

I do however think it is *ahem* funny that it is swine. avian, and human flu all combined in to one. Sounds rather manufactured to me... thats all I am sayin.

Maybe I am just suspicious of people who have the ability to mess around with bugs and viruses, but thoughts have we me ran to yet another possible man made illness. And to be cynical new illnesses create potential for new research and medications. It does occur that not everyone is a decent person, it is possible things can be 'released' into the population either for monetary gain or just the sick fun of it.

WHO will have a news conference @ about 11:30 EDT, and the white house will have one as well about noon.  CDC has an excellent web site with all kinds of info about what to do if someone in your family gets this.  I applaud them for acting quickly.

The New York cases have now been confirmed by the CDC.  The question that needs to be answered, and the sooner the better, is just how lethal this strain actually is.  If it in CA and NY, it's going worldwide.

Enough of a concern that the White House responded to the question

Your thoughts for President Obama's well-being are touching, Sanity.  It is so nice to see, after eight long years of hate-filled vitriol, that the other opposition can still regard the President with some human compassion.
