I have pinnipedster.. but the one I liked better was... Aren't you too old to be a dominant?

Huh.  That one hardly occurs to me -- though it might have when I myself was younger, and thought people over age 45 or so only had boring sex, if they had sex at all.

(I of course had to sneak a peak at your profile to check your age.  Sorry. :)

I actually raise an eyebrow when I see really young Dominants, like age 19 or something.  While I certainly approve of people of that age experimenting with kink if they are interested (I certainly did), it seems like a young age to have the kind of self-assurance I associate with being a real Dominant.  I'm sure there are glorious exceptions, but it just seems odd to me.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 11:26:49 AM)

Well, there is no Top/Bottom option here, is there?

I have been contacted in the past week by some of those young men who have very aggressively dominant wishes in their profiles but NO experience!  So, the internets are what they are.

Lockit -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 11:32:19 AM)

Not a problem. lol  I do look older in person.  My cheap cam that works with vistahell wouldn't show my age no matter how close I got.  I may put some up with no make up and my hair up...

This rude guy was about 35 and I think sent that question to a few of us.  Just a lil guy trying to get slam dunked I think.  I just laughed.  I'm sure I made his day. lol

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 11:46:35 AM)

We really should get better tiaras as we get older...   It's funny, just this afternoon I was thinking how most days I feel ancient, but today it's like I'm not a day over 30!  [:D]

Steponme73 -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 12:21:52 PM)

Geez...I guess I don't have the right mind set, because I have never asked those questions.  Some of those are kind of rude others are down right stupid and the rest just not appropriate.  LOL...Glad I am not a dom, now I understand more fully the sarcasm on this site from the dominant women!

Lockit -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 1:43:49 PM)

Anyone who has read my red head bitch vent has heard my frustrations put to sarcasm with these stupid request's.  Some days you just have to get sarcastic and laugh!

Kaiel -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 2:05:11 PM)

GYPZYQUEEN -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 8:21:59 PM)

I  understand you are BAITING and a shit disturber but..
IS IT  reasonable to ask
what is you bra size? take me I'm married... Can I live with you(Russia)?
Wanna see my dic? and on and on
when you are "Trying to find someone online"
wow//
PLEASE DO NOT MISTAKE YOUR OPINION FOR FACT
ok I bit...

AND
I HATE THE QUESTION  "WHAT ARE YOU INTO?"
the most,,,why??
THis is a BDsM site....I am into IT!!  .I Live IT!!
GET to know me...then we can see what BdsM things we have in common..
ITS like asking a woman at  the opera..
"So you into...... opera..Did I mention I have a penis?""

and she is the singer!!!!

**Now as for pleasing me/us..
I get at least 3 very PleasinG intros for every 20 shit ones..
They have read the profile..they refer to it..they say how they can enhance my life..and ask how they can serve.?/ They are polite..articulate and talk about interests other than straight to sex..which is 1/10 of BdsM..
they are mature..have knowledge and are an absolute delight to talk to.

Many who I will never meet are still chat friends due to their respect..
and integrity

Hey dude, you didn't even read mine... like sure, I will jump right on that.

I fail to understand what is wrong with this one. Could you explain, please?

In my case I always read her profile before sending this message, otherwise I would ask her to.

cbaby -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/29/2009 10:17:50 PM)

Someone asks me to read their profile and they haven't bothered to read mine first? That's what is wrong with that.  Most of the time they are someone that my profile clearly states I do not want.  If they can't take the time to read about me or what I am looking for and then expect me to do the work... I have no need for them for that alone.

SlaveBlutarsky -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/30/2009 2:11:01 AM)

Sweet, I've never asked one of these questions in any form.

Come to think about it, I don't think I've ever asked a question in an introductory email unless it was something very specific to their profile, and never in a BDSM or sexual context. I don't ever broach the BDSM/sex subject until the person i'm talking to does actually, we both know why we're talking to each other at first, my goal is to figure out if there is more commonality than her being a famale dominant and me being a male submissive.

I can promise you that you appear to be in the minority on that one.  With the exception of not reading My profile first before writing Me, there is nothing that irritates Me more than someone who, from introduction, wants to discuss sexual activities.  I mean, no one meeting someone at a munch for the first time would say hello and then immediately proceed to tell Me how they want to participate in oral worship or be on the receiving end of a strap on.  LOL.

I've been contacted by exactly TWO sub males (out of hundreds of emails) with this approach...and we continue to communicate regularly and I have even developed a friendship with one.  Just to demonstrate how rare and welcoming it is to be contacted by a sub in  this manner!

  1. Would you please recommend a <fill in the blank, could be hotel, nightclub, or restaurant> near <some place in the DFW area>?  I'll be in DFW for <one of the same reasons as #4> and am not familiar with the area.  This seems to be the newest one and I have gotten it several times lately.  When I respond with some suggestions, the next message is always an invitation to join the person at one of the places I recommended.  It's kind of a slick variation on #4 and I'm not interested for the same reasons.

Lady Topaz

Now I am feeling all trollish.  I do some travel for work and I have asked for suggestions of tasty local restaurants in an area, if I knew someone lived there or near there.

Of course, I do not ask people that I have never had an exchange with before.  That would just seem . . . strange.

I wouldn't consider it trollish at all if I knew the person.  I'd be happy to recommend some places.  That's actually a smart thing to do, and something I do myself.

The ones who message me are invariably people I've never had an exchange with before.  The request for recommendations just comes out of the blue....and in virtually every case was followed by an invitation to get together at one of the places I mentioned.  It has me wondering if this was mentioned in a book about tips for picking up women or something.

Lady Topaz

Ahh. . . I see.

So, it is not the question so much, but the circumstances surrounding the question. . .yes/no?

LadyPact -> RE: The same 10 questions always asked (4/30/2009 5:44:29 AM)

Don't feel bad, Aylee.  I've done this, too.  I do tend to think it goes over better when the question goes from female to female.  Or, even if there hasn't been a direct exchange if someone is at least familiar from posting on the boards.  (Minimally, a name the person would recognize.)

Seriously, that's how I approach it. I've actually never gone up to someone and said 'Hi my name's sb, wanna go home and fuck?' and had it work, either vanilla or kinky. I've gone up to a ton of women and said 'Hi, my name's sb, how are you tonight?' and gotten a much better response.

Yes, you are absolutely correct.  I have no problem with people I know, or with whom I've established some type of online rapport, asking for restaurant, hotel, or nightclub recommendations.  I do the same thing myself, but I always know the person or have communicated with them online previously.

What I am not thrilled with are strangers who message out of the blue requesting these recommendations, then immediately follow up with an invitation for some type of in-person get-together when they are in town.  It's like they are using this as a pick-up device.
