Hello, I have a curiosity and needed to ask the question.

After telling people that I had won some money on the football betting this week (naughty habit I know), the majority of my female friends asked what I was going to buy them. A few even suggested I should take them shopping with my new small fortune (small fortune in these credit crunch times). I joked around saying that I would, along with carrying their bags and massaging their feet if they got tired. But thinking about it, it seems like a good idea.

Anyway, the point of the topic was to find out if the idea of a shopping slave who buys everything you want, carries all bags, massages feet etc appeals to women, either dominant or submissive? And if yes, what is the reasoning behind it? I understand that a lot of women love shopping, but would the experience be as good if they just took the money?

Please let me know your views.

This is another spin on financial domination.  I love to play with those guys online, since they never come through in reality.:)  From my cyber experience, the thrill for the men is what I am buying...  one of my foot guys sent me pedicure money once, which I DID spend on a pedicure, and he was a happy little wanker as I described the whole experience for him.  If I had bought shoes, that would have been fine, too.  If I had taken the forty bucks and bought groceries... not so much fun.

I often tease my clients about what they can get me with their tax refunds... it's just a teasing thing that people say, and I don't think there is any kind of hope behind it.  Personally, I come from the world where unsolicited and overly expensive gifts--most especially from those outside the immediate circle--are inappropriate.   If someone I knew got a windfall and said, Hey, let's go out for sushi and eat all the toro we want!  I would say, hey, thanks!  I've done that kind of thing myself for my friends.  The shopping fantasy?  A fun idea, but just a fantasy.  There's no such thing as a free lunch!

Well, one major allure would escape most males, since if they can eat with their mouths closed, and show up for a date with no skid marks in their drawers (they don't even have to be fresh off the line..)

Women have to dress more and stuff additional appendages into torturous and expensive contraptions, like their boobage, their camel toe, their feet, their derriere and so on....They are about 4000 times cleaner than men, so they have oils, and shampoos, and FDS and whatnot, makeup and just clothes in general.....

I wear a 17.5 neck, 36 waist, 32 inseam, 8.5DD shoes, all of which can come from the salvation army as well as bergdorfs and they will be the same no matter what, so they are rather common commodity, a ladies 8 at JC Penney is not the same as an 8 at Macy's or Filenes basement, and even between manufacturers are not the same size on the same rack next to each other, each fit is sort of a custom deal.

It takes alot of Lawyers, Guns and Money to do what they do....

I loathe shopping, regardless of who pays, foot rub or no foot rub.  I'd be interested in someone who would do the shopping without dragging me along with him.  If it weren't for Internet shopping, my clothes would be full of holes and there'd be no food in the house (yes, even groceries get delivered).  He'd be perfectly welcome to give me a foot rub when he gets home, after he's put everything away, though.

I would absolutely love a shopping slave, although it doesn't necessary have to be a financial domination thing. I buy cat litter...I grocery shop...I don't have a car. Enough said! A good slave to push my cart, carry things, give a massage...mmm :)

It's a matter of pampering, convenience and the ability to inject subtle public humiliation all along.  When I take a boy shopping, I take him places - literally and figuratively - where he will be uneasy. I more enjoy seeing him squirm than the actual shopping. Lingerie stores are great for this. Making him carry my packages, of course, and walk behind me, that kind of thing. And just being very obedient and attentive.  Carrying my purse adds another element of humiliation in a packed ladies' store.  Lots of non-kinky couples have attentive husbands, so it's not TOO out of the ordinary, but if we both know what the deal is..then he can be made to squirm.

I can't really get so much into the financial side of it since I buy my own stuff.  I am self employed and prefer to be the breadwinner anyway, so we're spending my money, not his.  Sometimes I find the idea of having a "shopping slave" to be interesting - if I can meet him at the high end mall near my house and literally buy anything I want on his dime, but in reality, I end up feeling like a transactional relationship is better - otherwise I feel like I would "owe" a sub something for buying me a bunch of clothes, shoes and gifts.  I feel most empowered, when it comes to money, if I earn it myself and control it.

Yep, that would suit me.  Don't know why, but I've always got a buzz out of the idea of being a woman's 'porter'.   Public humiliation's like cayenne pepper to me - too much is horrible, but a little bit makes things very, very nicely, hot.

I would be uncomfy with "too much" - I would feel I owe somebody something and that makes me a bit squirmish....

But to answer the question if money would be the same thing - NOPE! It's a bit like getting a present, presents are usually something you don't buy yourself but you want to....
Let me put it this way, I seriously have a thing for shoes but I might draw the line at spending a crazy amount for designer shoes recession, but if somebody would take me into a shoe shop and say "Oh but I WANT to buy you the .... shoes" it would be different, if the guy has a shoe fetish, he is getting something out of it, so in a way it would be a fair exchange!

Really?  That's deeply shocking to me, Lady C.  I've never heard of a woman who was remotely interested in shoes before.  Chocolate likewise.  This is why women are forever having nightmares about shoes made out of chocolate, as Freud noted.

OK, so do you want a shopping porter?  I'll walk behind you happily - so long as you wear those strappy sandal heel things (which I love) and don't dither too much.

Here is the more relevant question:

How many subs would honestly go through with it vs. just want to talk about it and wank to the idea?
How much money does a sub think a good shopping trip costs?  One sub was begging me to do this and he kept telling me about the money and the amount he had in mind was ridiculous - these guys don't buy womens' shoes or lingerie and just don't know.  I think the only "humiliating shopping trip" they can afford is to the dollar store.

Most won't and you know, if they want to talk about it, send them to the La Perla, Janet Reger or Wolford website, might be a bit of a shock to their system what good lingerie actually costs.

@peon: Don't tempt me to get a pink purse ;) I possibly would spend a lot of money on something I would never use, just to see you carrying it... (On 2nd thoughts, maybe a fake Burberry bag for you)

Er . . . to be clear, A: in my fantasy, she buys, I carry and walk behind.   Slaves, and even servants, aren't meant to be rich.

I shudder when I look at the price of women's clothing.  And all that money for stuff that won't last a week if it's given any serious use, too.

Lady C:  get that pink purse or even the fake Burberry bag.  Consider yourself challenged.

A great quote has just popped into my mind - though I can't remember the author:

"American women's shoes look as though they were made by someone who'd often heard shoes described, but had never actually seen a pair".

Yes.  Not slingbacks.  I used to think slingbacks were what David wore when he went off to fight Goliath.

Sandals, but with heels, and thin straps.  Preferably straps that go up the ankle a bit.  They look as though they're gift-wrapping a woman's feet, to me.  When a woman wears those sorts of shoes, I actually start thinking about how their feet feel - each of the muscles - as they walk.  I should say I'm not even a foot-fetishist - that's just how powerful an effect womens' shoes - and feet - can have on men, in general.  Damned if I can explain it, either.

Uhh what kind of woman are you that you don't know what those are?  I have 2 pairs each in red, white and black, also one each in green, blue, salmon, brown, some weird undecsribable color, but NO PINK.  Don't like pink. mostly.  maybe hot pink. opps 3 pairs in black.

I wouldn't bother with the fake Burberry for Peon.  I suspect he'd be delighted to get in touch with his inner chav.

IT would appeal to me, however I'm not much of a shopper in the normal sense, but take me to a craft store and yeeehaw! I am all over the place. I wouldn't even need them to buy it for me, I have cash and would pay myself, but carry my bags and rub my feet afterwards, would get a resounding yes please lol.
