GYPZYQUEEN -> "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 1:28:09 AM)

So we've all seen the bedroom in a disarray "I am in front of the blue light of the comp at 3  in the morning" pics..

???What else have you seen that may provide need for 2nd thoughts or that gave you addtional info..or has just plain curled your hair or caused an eyebrow raising???

***NOTE:I want to add that I wish to be careful here and
not be rude about things such as lack due to finance...or life circumstance...or things about race.religion etc..

*I have seen a woman kneeling with a leash in a living room so cluttered with laundry and animals you could not see how she could get to the door.
*photo shot in bathoom mirror with dirty toilet( no mention of scat)
*Dom in filthy stained shirt and pants..standing  by a window with no glass...just burlap
*dirty feet
*dated photos ,3 months apart with the SAME pile of debris in corner by chair..including a dildo ........ yep[:o]
*DOM in living room with whip with and collection of Hummel minitures....plastic flowers...frilly cushions( said he was unattached and had no sub)
*filthy fingernails and smoke stained fingers
*Dom who said he was 25 with high school text books on table
* crack pipe on bed
* sub posing with dead deer kill

again
I am interested in what you have seen..
not the reasons for what I have seen..I already found out..

I also like to Dr. House my way around the background of people's photos. It says more than they're profile text, or the main imagery.

PeonForHer -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 3:30:51 AM)

Yep, I'm a background-searcher.  Reading material's the first thing I'll zero in on.  In the UK, a copy of the Sun or Daily Mail  in the background would be points-against.  A copy of Private Eye would give huge points in favour because it's not only a sign that she's humerous (a big plus), but also a sign that she shares my particular sort of humour.  I have to say, if a home looks too neat, I worry that she'll be a little stuffy and fussy.

If I see a copy of Private Eye, a series of Terry Pratchett novels and a pair of hiking boots in the corner, I'll think, "Bingo!  Woman of my dreams."

Don't single men ever have frilly cushions?

No, I don't suppose they do . . . .[:D]

HalloweenWhite -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 3:34:52 AM)

Those examples are amazing!. I'm often wonder about photos that are too staged as well, I've seen 1 Dom in a military uniform, and even one dressed as a pirate, there are are lot who wear other exotic costumes. I'm not keen on those sorts of pictures because I don't think they say anything about who the person really is so they don't realy serve much of a perpose, to My mind.

I liked all the colours in your text.

PeonForHer -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 3:35:57 AM)

Have you seen the dom who's recently appeared who's in a gorilla suit?

HalloweenWhite -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 3:38:21 AM)

Lmao. Nope I missed that one, too.I need new glasses I think.

It can depend on how long ago they were living with a woman, and how long they expect to be before they are again.

Ialdabaoth -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 3:42:01 AM)

My background is always a state of clutter. It's the nature of who I am and what I do; my natural environment is far more of a factory assembly room than a showroom floor.

And yeah, I know the showroom floor is where you want to show off that cherry-red convertible, but just try building one there.

Interesdom -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 3:44:49 AM)

(Note to self: must think what to 'paint' in on the background of my picture!)

GYPZYQUEEN -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 4:03:50 AM)

When I first was on CM I had one pic...
I was standing in jeans in a sparse room with  a cord across the floor to an alarm clock and there was a mattress on the floor..no clothes in closet..nothing on walls

A man wrote and said " looks like you are on welfare...or a bum"

What he did not know is..
......this was my sub's room..sparce for a reason( focus)
but goes to show background is important and leads to assumptions.

[:D]keep guessing about the frilly cushions and I will eventually tell you[:-]

and...........ya...... I saw gorilla man...

crumbledwater -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 4:06:17 AM)

I missed the Gorilla man, damnit!

I've just seen a profile with grubby bedsheets and a pillow, with the pillowcase hanging off it, revealing a disgusting looking pillow underneath. A lived-in home is one thing, filth and grime another entirely.

KMsAngel -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 4:12:35 AM)

i deliberately have no background, and in fact have hidden most of my face. i've always felt the windows to a person are indeed through their eyes.

i want someone to know ME, not make assumptions based on background or details.

that, and i always wanted to have that gypsy look [:D]

PeonForHer -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 4:13:43 AM)

Actually, too many frilly and flowery bits of furniture - not a good sign in a woman's picture.

RavenMuse -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 4:42:29 AM)

A profile is where the first impression is formed, backgrounds can tell a lot. I've not sent a mail to otherwise interesting girls simply because of what I've seen in the background. If they lack care and attention to detail in making the first impression they are not what I seek.

Dildo's that have obviously been used analy and just left on the side, dirty nappys (No mention of kids), absolute mountains of dirty laundry..... etc. Someone who lacks the basic self respect to at least tidy where they live isn't of interest to Me.... nor is someone stupid enough to put a picture up of it on their profile thinking it will attract a Master!

intenze -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 4:48:54 AM)

There was a picture for awhile of a kind of attractive woman obviously in front of her computer, and behind her was a kitchenette with all the cabinets open and the countertop full of dirty dishes.  I had to wonder what she was thinking.

DarkSteven -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 5:39:51 AM)

There was some guy who posted whining about how hard it was to find a Domme in Vegas. He was informed about his attitude and laziness in composing and writing.  In addition, he was told about how his profile stated that he would be domestic for his Domme, and his picture showed a mobile home that had been in a war, and not in a winning position, either.

His choice was to respond to it all saying that we all proved his pojt that there were no Dommes in Vegas because none of them had been by his thread.

I assume that he's still single and complaining.

marie2 -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 5:43:38 AM)

One of the strangest I saw was of a man, supposedly single, with two framed prints behind him on the wall.  They were of pink ballet slippers.

Messes, full ashtrays, laundry piles, and dirty dishes in the background are all huge turn-offs.   I mean, we all have signs of life around us at any given time (an un-made bed or dishes to tend to) but if you're going to post a photo, make sure to clean up before taking it.  I'm always turned off with all the mirror shots of people and the splatters and drips on the mirror.  What does it take to windex the mirror before you take the photo?  And bathroom photos where you can see that the tile is all nasty and moldy..... makes my skin crawl.  Or the "toy" displays where some of the toys are all dirty n shit.  ugh....

I think I know that print.

I'm really getting the sense now that women might look for 'feminine signs' in the backgrounds of pics of purportedly single men.  I'll make damn sure there's no fruit or vegetables in the backgrounds of any future photos I do of myself.

CarrieO -> RE: "Revealing" backgrounds in pics (5/5/2009 6:10:43 AM)

Let's not forget the prison photos. There is one floating around of a domme sporting the obvious stance/prison issue clothing. In fact, I think she mentions having been "inside".

The one that's makes me giggle is of the "dom" who speaks of being controlling and harsh whilst wearing a fast food uniform, crumpled paper hat on the shelf behind him, and in what appears to be a not-so-organized stock room. I have to wonder if he's only available during his shift (due to the available computer) or if he just has a uniform fetish.

I wish people would remember what is said about first impressions[;)]

edited to add....Damn, I missed the gorilla man!!!!
