Ha, since we already heard that meeting women from CM is about as likely as a snowball in hell, I did wonder a bit, I met people from CM and last time I checked, I was definitely female, others have met people from CM, people I know have met their mates here.

So out with it, who has met people on CM, who would and who wouldn't? If not, why not?

I will meet just about, anyone from here. But they have to work around my schedule and life.

Call me selfish, call me a hypocrite, but I've wasted too much money, and precious vacation time, on people that lied or disappeared.

I have met several people from on here as friends, others as partners over time. I met Angel, and Fox. Angel met Silk. Fox and I know several others we have met recently and not so recently from on here. And last I checked, I was definately female.

I have and still will.  Assuming they are respectful, sane and without a serious criminal history.  I am also very female.

edited to change police record to serious criminal history.  they do post names of child molestors online.

As I weighed in on the other thread, I've literally met hundreds of people on CM.  There are at least twenty members of My home munch group alone that have profiles.  I can't tell you how many in surrounding groups.  That's over and above the people that I've met on CM and then saw for the first time face to face in places like 1763 and La Fortress.  Plus people that I've seen r/t at events like SELF and DomCon that I knew had profiles here first.

I'm already laying some hopes and groundwork for meeting people after I make the move to CA.  If I'm lucky, I'll even get to meet some folks on the trip across!

But yes, I agree with you, I don't mind meeting people from here if we're near each other, it usually is without an agenda, I don't expect anything but a pleasant chat. I think meeting people without expectations is fair, you get to know the person and if something comes out of it, fine!

I'd meet either of you in a red-hot minute, that is for sure.  In fact, LaT and I have had a couple near-misses since we both started posting.  I think this summer is gonna be the time we finally get face to face....

And I'm not even a submissive lesbian.  I think too many guys fall into the trap of "I only meet with possible sexual partners."  The thing is, kinky people tend to know other kinky people.  Make kinky friends and you'll have more kinky friends.  I'll meet anyone I think I'll get along with.  At the very least, I'll make a new friend.  Build a kinky social network and the play will take care of itself.

I've met with five men from here, for different reasons.  The person who introduced me to CM is still here and we had a relationship, but we didn't meet here, but met at a chat site... so that would be six men at CM that have seen me in person.

I would meet people from here if I can work it into my life situation.

I've met a couple people as friends, and four people as potential partners in the past year and a half.  Of those four, I *might* consider meeting one or two of them again.  Very few men meet my specifications, so corresponding with someone rarely turns into a meet.  Quality versus quantity, you know.

If I was in the neighborhood..I might, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to meet somebody, would have to be -it's in the way- thing.

heck..starbucks for 5-10 mins sure can't see why not if we'd happen to be in the neighborhood.

Well, I haven't been on CM very long, but I have met a femsub from here. Tomorrow I will be meeting a male slave.  I have met lots of people from other online sites.  And the last time I checked I am female.  Now what I had happen here is set up meetings and not have people show - very annoying.

I've met with 8 people from CM so far, three as friends, two for coffee (enough for me!) and three as what I like to refer to "learning curves". I have others I talk with by phone that, at some point when my schedule allows, I'll be meeting with.

Will I continue to meet? Of course, as long as I have the time and interest.

I met 3 guys on here...one was nice but far from what he claimed to be physically...one couldn't have been further away from what he claimed to be...and my current meeting is just plain geeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrgggggggooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssss [:)][:)][:)]

All of them were male as they claimed to be and they agreed that I am female... I would meet again in case my current potential partner and I would not work out,  but am a bit tired by now and due to wasting too much effort and money last year I would not meet that easily again at the moment...

edited as I forgot one..So I met 4 people on here. The fourth guy was nice...but too nice for me...lol

I've met one very nice FemDomcouple...I've corresponded with a few I plan to meet at a local fetish party this weekend.

BTW...if you live in a large city generally you can access public records on a Clerk of Courts website to see if someone has ever had legal entanglements in that county (or whichever county you choose as long as its on the web). You can find out lots of good information that way.

I think that only works in the US, most European countries have slightly different rules.....

I know a lot of people who are on CM because I used to be active in the local BDSM scene. I've also met several people through CM personals, and none of them have been fakes or flakes, though I didn't hit it off with most of them. One in particular is going quite well, and I also met one person from the forums on a friendly basis (not sure if he wants to be identified or not).

Goddess2002, that's part of why I don't give my name to just anyone - I don't have any court judgements or criminal record or anything, but I don't want anyone stalking me or trying to find out personal information about me.

I really don't count the folks that I knew already as "new" folks from CM...  but it's true, the listings on the other side are full of familiar people, and of course I've met dozens of folks from the boards who are not in my area.   I agree that it IS hard to get some people to make that giant leap from chat to realtime.  I have a good friend on the boards that resolutely refuses to meet, and I reckon he has his reasons for keeping our friendship virtual.  I don't value the relationship any less.

Last week, I managed to bring a guy I have been chatting on and off with for over a YEAR to his first munch and play party!  He is still alive, and seemed to enjoy himself, so who knows who I can corrupt next? [:D]
