[&o] Ya, they knew I'd grow up and become friends with you - they didn't want to risk having the place destroyed by your klutziness.

SavageFaerie -> RE: Where are you from? (5/13/2009 6:27:11 PM)

I'm from the DFW, TX area too always on the Fort Worth Side.
I swear there a mistake on my birth certificate as it says I was born in Oklahoma City, OK (its a state rivalry thing) LOL
I spent the first 40 years really strickly in the surrounding Fort Worth area, Im a county or finge type person, I hate cities.

I moved to the New Jersey shore after the little ones were adults and no longer ums.
From there I moved to the gorgeous area in Roanoke, VA, I do love the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Then it was to NYC for a small stint
The back to DFW
Then to the SE Texas, Orange,TX so went though Hurricaine Rita, then moved to Lake Conroe, Texas, missed Hurricaine Gustov thank goodness.
Left there and moved back to NYC to live with my sister.
Went to a wedding in Feb in FL stayed 3 months.
Back to NYC But to PACK!!!!!!
Titusville, FL which I am hoping if my final stop.

I was never foud of Texas really, but I am most definetly southern.
NYC is toxic to me, cant get away fast enough, which is early next week YAY.
Florida ia great, I have more friends there in the last 3 months than I did in all my moving around.
It just feels like home. My new family is there [:D]

It wasn't that bad.  A working class neighborhood,  Mormons go out of their way to be nice to Jews, so no problems there. Life was simple then.

LaTigresse -> RE: Where are you from? (5/15/2009 8:39:27 AM)

Places I've lived are few.

Born in SE Iowa, lived all over SE Iowa, briefly in Rawlings WY, briefly in Los Angeles CA and LaJoya CA, several months off and on in Kansas City MO, several months off and on traveling with a woman, always back to SE Iowa.

Now I live in a cozy little house on a hill with huge windows overlooking a beautiful valley. Coyotes, deer, pheasants, wild turkeys, quail, fox, etc etc etc....are my neigbours. It's far from culture, fancy restaurants, any sort of good shopping, too fucking far to drive to work.......but I love it. The human neighbours don't bother us, we don't bother them. So yeah, still in SE Iowa. Only 10 minutes away from where I was born.

subtlebutterfly -> RE: Where are you from? (5/15/2009 8:55:35 AM)

....wait...wait..wait..
WILD turkeys??????? turkeys are wild????????
so you can go on a yearly thanksgiving hunt? [:D]
