Hello all, I just have a quick question here. i am fairly new to all forms of online interaction and was curious... What do you other Masters do when you talk to a submissive online and she seems very interested, but never says more than a sentence or two? No matter how open I am, how many questions I ask, or how much detail I give, nor how interesting or interested in her I am, it never changes. She classifies herself as a slave, and she is younger than me, but seems bright, judging by what little she does say. Any advice from Dommes/Doms or submissives/slaves would be much appreciated. I did do a search, but found nothing useful.

Try asking her to write letter to you telling you about herself. You can pick birth to now.... high school til now.... whatever.

If she's answering you with only a few words, she's not interested in you. She may be replying because she's bored or just being polite but either way, she's not interested in you.

Many subs/slaves.. in their shyness and bashfullness.. forget that they need to carry their half of the conversation. She might be too young, she might be too submissive for your taste. Suppose there are many Boot wearing Dom's out there to stomp on her, but that dosnt seem to sit well with you, and in my opinion.. shouldnt sit well with anyone who calls themselves Dom. I think it is easy to forget (for both Dom's and sub's) that this is life, and people talk.. they give and take, emotionally, physically, and mentally. She just may not be the one for you...

Thank you all for your replies. I, of course have asked her if she is interested in talking to me and she says very clearly, yes. Her one or two sentences are very expressive and interested, and she is very precise in answering exactly what I ask. I must also say that she writes me all the time with out being asked to say hello, or ask me how I am, etc. My question was not is she interested or not, it was really; How do other Masters draw an uncommunicative or shy submissive out in text when they already are interested. And to the submissives; what helps to draw you out? Sorry for the confusion.

When she does answer one of your questions, perhaps you should use the "E" word.....Elaborate! This might push her to expound on her ideas and feelings with you......

I ask subs to give me a resume and to tell me 5 things that they are looking to find in a DOMME and 5 things about themselves that would make a DOMME happy with them,that opens the door.I have found so many subs that have been abused that they are almost afraid to do anything but answer a question and when I give them this chance to think for themselves again it intensifies their williness to serve!

Right now we are merely emailing back and forth here on collarme. I will try some of the suggestions posted here soon, and I thank you all for your input.

For some, writing is more difficult than talking. You don't say how long you have been emailing. I agree the whole thing is a "process", for some it moves faster than for others. If the two of you are local to each other, why not suggest meeting somewhere for coffee, lunch or something. Then you can at least judge from her body language what might be going on. Perhaps she feels saying to much would be "overstepping", that saying more would not be considered submissive. Who knows? Have you asked her why she never writes much? Expressed to her that at this point, you aren't really "dom" and "sub" but rather two people getting to know each other and she should feel free to converse with you in an open unhibited way?

I know that I am horrible at doing the email thing. My emails tend to be short and to the point, it's very rare that ANYONE gets more than a sentence or two. Even my husband. It's not that I'm necessarily uncommunicative, more that I say what I have to say and don't feel inclined to put in a lot of filler. Now.. get me on the PHONE or face to face.....LOL
