I always wonder what their search profile is, if they're only finding dominants who want money.

Do I make sure a potential has a job or an income stream? Yes. Because this household can't afford to carry someone who isn't working, plain and simple. But I don't charge for my time. I don't ask for presents all the time (though I'm human, and like them when they happen). But I suspect that they don't see me, because they want a size 0 Fetish Barbie to dom them, and that's what they're looking for.

And guess what guys? Being a size 0 Fetish Barbie's an expensive life.....So I don't have too much sympathy.

This is in addition to AlexandraLynch's posting above, with which I agree . . . ..

Because either those seeking after their fantasy cannot or will not do the 'math':

I've always liked doing the math -- hottie young chiquitas or dudes only make up a small portion of the overall dating pool (keeping in mind that more than half of Americans are overweight -- with similar for the other 'wealthy' nations -- & that a full 1/3 of the US population fits the medical definition of 'obese'; & only about 10%-20% of the population is between 18 & whatever cut-off age one uses in determining 'hotness', & so on) . . . . . . . .

I once heard the stat that only about 2% of the total global population are 'naturally' built like a super-model, so it seems reasonable that something on the order of 1-in-10 are going to meet some kind of hypothetical ideal of young-fit-skinny-pretty . . . . .

& the competition for that small portion of the dating pool is pretty fierce . . . . . .

So. The question becomes: what does one have on offer to lure the pretty fishies?

That 'economic' reality underlies why some pretend to be pretty fishies, & why some expect extra (cash) bait . .. . .

In general (&, yes, data points vary widely) pretty fishies tend to prefer to date & mate with other pretty fishies; those less-pretty fishies must offer up something that the other pretty fishies don't -- stereotypically money, but it can be personality, sense of humor, access, power, skills, somethin' above & beyond the ordinary ho-hum . . . . .

The further one is from young-pretty-fit, the more this is so, I tend to think . .. . . .

As usual, DK, you raise excellent points. And it's almost always the men who have NOTHING to offer (not looks, not brains, not money, not youth, not personality, and not availability) who moan the loudest about the hot young things wanting payment, yet if they were expected to provide a service for free, they'd be the ones moaning loudest about not getting paid.

The helpful, fit, funny, brainy lads are often the ones looking for the older, been-around-the-block-and-had-a-great-time women. I feel certain there's a doctoral dissertation in here somewhere.

Actually, it's an indication of how they react to an unforeseen situation.

They could:

1. Decide that they don;t want to pay and put their efforts towards wooing a non-pro Domme.
2. Pay up.
3. Jump up and down screaming, "It's not fair!!!"

Obviously, if they do #3, they've just announced their maturity level and blown their chance at #1.

The sad thing is that there are those of us for whom this would be quite perfect. Unfortunately, even finding someone who wants actual service can be difficult. Not impossible, but difficult.

For the record, I don't think I've offered to do "anything" for anyone in quite some time, although once I find myself in someone's service, I'll pretty much do "everything" she desires.

I think it is very funny... if you will look at some of the profiles of the one's complaining about this or getting dumped or cheated... look at their friends list! All babes... all much younger than they are or way so friggin beautiful that you know they wouldn't go for that balding guy with the belly unless he had some money to share. (those youngsters are rare!) I didn't see my daughter bringing home middle aged rounded guys or young unemployed guys. You find what you seek and sometimes get what you deserve. And if they can't figure that out... I'm glad they are seeking the young one's because I don't want them in my email box.
