The clothes do not maketh the Domme. Or to put it another way: Don't judge a book by its cover.

Also, stilettos degrade men now?

And on the stilettos and leather. How is a man meant to react if his supervisor dresses and acts like a dominatrix at work.
Like an adult! The fact that you associate stilettos/heels with acting like a dominatrix is just you projecting your fantasy on someone who more than likely has no clue you're making this kind of connection. Sad and a bit scary.

is it not reasonable to expect that work supervisors keep their lifestyle issues at home and not at work?
Just as its reasonable to expect a worker to not assume a supervisor is a domme simply because she's wearing heels and doing her job.

we dont nor should we have to put up with it. there were after all many males in the office who were not into the lifestyle. how do you think they felt when they were seeing this Woman dress so provocatively every day and bark out orders to the ones who were unfortunate to have less experience than Her including myself. it just sucks. like i say She only had six months more experience than me yet She stood over me like as if i was a nothing, constantly checking up on me. And yes if i ever got high up in an organisation , i would make it a rule that no Female staff are allowed to wear stilettos. Because it is degrading men
You seem to have some serious anger and authority issues with women that you really need to address. Fixation and projection are two big red flags that lead me to question your motives in regards to this situation.

BTW....Is there a reason you didn't answer my questions... Post #: 13 ?

lobodomslavery -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/25/2009 1:46:39 AM)

She was making my work life impossible because She was standing over me all the time when i was doing my work. There was no reason for this. She was happy with my work and expressed this to me. i think She was on a power trip to be honest.
No i felt small and weak because She was in a position of authority over me not because i thought She was a domme but that thought did cross my mind. What else am i to think when a Woman in an office wears stilettos and a leather jacket to work and dresses provocatively? Why my complaint was rejected.? i dont honestly know. i have a fair idea though, given that i complained to Personnel the only place to complain to, i think Personnel took Her side over mine. The other thing that got me about Her was Her viciousness.  When i told Her i was making a complaint about Her , She teased me and basically told me to go ahead adding that She would win in the end and would be vindicated. Which She was. i have since complained to an Equality authority and they have taken up my case. ok i admittedly made mistakes and naively asked Her about Her life at lunch breaks early in my employment when She took me out to lunch with Her but i thought i was just being friendly, i was wanting to get to know Her , i wont make those mistakes again. And no i never asked Her was She a Domme tho it crossed my mind seriously because of Her behaviour towards me

What if she likes leather..and is a female who likes getting attention..you know women like to do that, besides it's easier to control people when they have their eyes glued on your boobs or ass or whateva..there's no rocket science about it.
I'm 22 and my longest job was 3 years I quit 'cause I found a better paying job (and most of my friends have the same history..a couple of years) dude..keeping a job for 12 months?...you're 31!
Some bosses actually DO stand over you constantly..and it usually does work if you politely point it out to them that you find it uncomfortable and that it disturbs you when you're trying to focus.
Nobody asks you to deliver a 100% perfect job..a 99% is more preferable. Maybe she stood over you 'cause..she thought your work sucked? I mean really...it could also explain why she won when you made the complaint.
meh..neva mind..this thread[sm=Groaner.gif]

i have never considered chit chat or friendly enquiries Sexual Harrassment but perhaps im being naive, i ll bear that in mind thanks. i always thought Sexual Harrassment was physical not verbal  but like i say i learn new stuff everyday, i ll bear that in mind. and by the by i dont have work presently. i ll bear this advice in mind for future employment
kevin

How in the world does asking your female supervisor if she's a a Domme constitute "chit chat" or "friendly enquiries"? i mean, yess, she *could* be a Domme but, is that something you really want to be asking someone you work with?

Sexual Harassment, in my mind, would be mostly verbal...inuendo would be a big problem and it really depends on who you're surrounded by. Just saying something jokingly could get you into a lot of hot water. If it was physical it would be battery, or rape. At least, that's how i see it. But, apparently you need to brush up on the parameters of what exactly sexual harassment is (wherever you're at)...before you start dancing on that fine line between "chit chat" and "sexual harassment." Think about it.

Edited to add: i finally finished reading all the posts and...

What the hell is wrong with you? You're *still* stewing about this nearly a year after the whole thing happened, you're *still* unemployed and you're *still* fixated on the heels. Instead of pissing and moaning about why it's unfair why don't you just accept it. i mean, you've already lost the job there's no going back so just look forward and try and find a new job. Maybe you should try a little harder to me a bit more reliable. She wanted you to come back from your lunch breaks on time? What a bitch!! Just kidding. Anyway, seriously, you're mad at her for keeping an eye on you at work (quite frankly, it sounds like you needed a baby-sitter), you're mad at her for being mad at you for being late at your lunch break and you're mad at her for wearing stilettoes and a leather jacket at work because it distracts you and makes you think dirty thoughts?

Did you ever think that maybe the problem was you? Maybe the reason that she got promoted so quickly was that she was able to do her job? i mean, she's a woman so i guess it's a bit of a stretch but, hey, it's a possibility (please, please, please note the sarcasm intended here). You don't really sound like you would be cut out for the job. You seem to be having a hard enough time taking responsibility and being accountable for your *own* actions, do you really think they would have given the job to you? Is this what you're griping about?

Shit, i don't even know what you're complaining about anymore but, get over it. It's over a year past. Look for a job, update your skills. Become more accountable and reliable...then you may have a chance.

Fitznicely -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/25/2009 2:42:08 AM)

Lobo: It's fairly obvious that you are a person who can't cope with the fact that a young, attractive, provocatively dressed woman had power over you.

There's two sides to every story, and I wonder, were we to be able to ask, if this woman would tell us she wasn't constantly hovering over you and maybe felt a bit squicked out that on first making her acquaintance, you were asking about her home life.

She has a boss also. If the quality of your work was such that you only lasted a year in the job, it may be that she'd been told to supervise you more closely.

I'm aware that, as the owner of a woman, I'm not perhaps in a place to lecture on chauvanism, but really Lobo, you need to be changing that attitude. What are you supposed to think of a woman that likes to dress sexily at work? Nothing, you're SUPPOSED to be focussing on your job. If you did, maybe you'd hold one down for more than a few months.

I've had younger female bosses and I found it quite pleasant and comfortable to work for what I would normally term "eye candy". But I never crossed that professional line. It's your JOB, man.

LadyPact -> RE: Should I ask Her if She is a Domme (5/25/2009 2:42:38 AM)

Here's what this sounds like:

There was a probationary period as being a part of this work place.  The employee in question started out performing well, but during the length of the probationary period, that performance declined due to his lack of ability to be punctual returning from scheduled breaks.  Closer supervision was required to observe the work of the employee with this bad habit.  It comes to pass that the employee not only has issues with a female in authority over him, repeatedly misses his time to report back to work, and may or may not have verbally inquired as to the intimate details of a female's personal life while in the workplace.  (In this country for most work environments, all that is necessary for something to be considered "sexual harassment" is for there to be any innuendo that may be of a sexual nature and makes an associate feel uncomfortable.  That includes asking people out, what their intimate relationships are like, and even commenting about 'provocative' attire.)

Even if the employee was fantastic at the actual work, why should any company retain someone with these liabilities?  I have people that work under Me and the coming back from breaks late alone would be enough.  Most companies have disciplinary actions for that, up to and including termination.  After so many high profile cases where employees have won settlements against companies for not protecting women from sexual harassment, not many are willing to take gambles in that area, either.

Do us a favor though, Kevin.  When this complaint of yours gets heard and it's laughed out of the office, please do come back to whine, bitch, and moan about how you were treated unfairly again and how the world is supposed to make exceptions for you because of your situation.  If you're really lucky, the case will be heard by someone wearing heels and a leather skirt.  That would prove how wronged you were.

Better yet.  Print out this thread and take it with you the next time you visit your mental health professional.

Then She turned on me by over supervising. i couldnt put up with that . So i left. im suing for constructive dismissal- She made my life so impossible i had no other choice. i couldnt work. She wouldnt let me- constantly undermining me, standing over me. Well i hope that She get s her comeuppance. As the saying goes what comes around goes around

Yeah. me too. But it'd be fun to see if it did. If you win, does that mean that he pays you? Because if so, i'm down for twenty also. May as well make this as win-win situation for myself. [:)]

If he gets a female judge he'll be looking up her robes to look for the stilettoes and the miniskirt she's got on underneath.

It'd hardly surprise me if she started whaling on him in court with a crop or something. i hope he wouldn't be foolish enough to ask her if  she's a Domme.
