Christianity is a fairy tale but judaism is not? Perhaps you should stop now. You are getting ridiculous. John 14:6 Jesus said to him I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. Does that sound like Jesus never sais follow me? Perhaps you should stick to the old testament and leave the new testament to the Christians. And please do not try to tell me what my religion says or doesn't say. Funny that even Christian scholars have disagreements over certain segments of the bible and what it means. So how many different translations of the bible have you studied? The areas that have slightly different translations, did you research those to try and figure out anything on your own? And Jesus said he was changing how much of God's laws? Now none of this has anything to do with the OP, so maybe I will educate you further. Here is part of the Declaration of Indpendence of the State of Israel, translated: " ERETZ-ISRAEL [(Hebrew) - the Land of Israel, Palestine] was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here their spiritual, religious and political identity was shaped. Here they first attained to statehood, created cultural values of national and universal significance and gave to the world the eternal Book of Books. " It does not say it was given to the Jewish people because of divine right. I have never heard any Jew mention that, and the Rabbi that assisted me in my studies of the Torah and Talmud never eluded to it. The only one's I have ever heard mention it, are Christians that seem to not like the Jewish people very much. It seems this is an yet another area you need education in. Here is an easy one for such a great Christian scholar: What was there before the heavens and the earth were created? If you find it, you find life, and if you hate it, then you love death. Yeah I didn't think you could answer. The answer is wisdom, and it is from Proverbs 8. Read it some time, it may help you. I dont even consider that an accurate hostorical document. I responded to you telling me to read the new testament. But yes, neither is accurate. But the torah is in the original hebrew text and rabbis and students got around and debated the tests and its meaning. Thast where the mishnah and mahriv come from. Theey are interpretations but rabbis and students still debate the meanings in lively intellectual debate. So you quoting scripture doesnt do a hill of beans for me. Its not proof of truth either.

I am guessing whoever killed him was supposed to do it and I have the faith that it happened the way God wanted it to.

That is an interesting point, for another topic. I was involved in a debate at Emory about what I called "The Judas Destiny". meaning that whoever killed or betrayed Jesus was bound to do so because it was the will of god. It was a very interesting debate in the beginning, but it spiraled into bickering and such quickly.
