MistressLavinia -> All in a name (6/10/2009 12:01:09 PM)

Yesterday I asked a new friend on here, how did he pick his name or did his mistress pick it for him. I know this might have been asked before, but decided what the hell, let me ask, after he told me he had picked it I asked why, So heres the question for those who want to share. How and why do you have that special name you have? [sm=stickineye.gif]

Mistress Lavinia

aka Push - cause I push to the limits, cause I love pushing it deep, Once I told a sub, tell me when you've had enough or just say PUSH and Push I did. My friend Deidre was there, and said, all she heard was him screaming push, so the name stuck.

seamonkeyjim -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 1:10:33 PM)

i choose my name because a seamonkey is a very submissive yet teachable creature.. the box says you can train them and watch them for endless hours as they follow your flash light around. needing its owner to survive and offering amusement and devotion.. that is where the seamonkey comes from.

littleone35 -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 2:05:03 PM)

velvetvixen -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 2:56:12 PM)

I like to think I am a vixen and velvet is a tactile kind of word. Then you put them together and you have all those v's and and an x in there-- who could resist. [:)]

rassalas -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 3:00:57 PM)

Hi to everyone,

I picked my name from english literature.

The History of Rasselas, Prince of Abissinia, by Samuel Johnson.

The story is similiar to the story of Bhudda. A prince is kept secluded with the rest of the royal family. He manages to finally escape into the real world and never looks back, free to experience life. I may not be physically imprisoned, but vanilla can be a cage just the same. The name makes sense to me because I want to be free to experience things most would say is 'wrong' or 'inapropriate'

Rasselas

You do know that "Sea Monkeys" are brine shrimp, right?
Teachable? Submissive?

ShaharThorne -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 3:46:58 PM)

Shahar = Old Hebrew or Persian for Dawn, my favorite comic book character by Joseph Michael Linsner.

Thorne = back when Yahoo chat had user rooms, a group of us college kids (me being the eldest) would roleplay different scenrios online and Thorne was the 'family' name.

ShiftedJewel -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 6:28:32 PM)

ShiftedJewel. Shifted, because I've moved way to many times, shifting from state to state. And Jewel? Because in the right setting I shine.

Jewel

kuriouswitch -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 7:17:23 PM)

kurious from when i started looking into the lifestyle and I found the name while reading a BDSM story and liked it. Plain kurious was taken so I added switch to it. Because I wasn't sure if I was Domme or sub yet.

Starbuck09 -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 8:26:17 PM)

leadership527 -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 9:36:39 PM)

I call Carol "Carol"... I'm pretty sure her Dad picked it :)

*laughs* Sorry, she doesn't have a nick here, but if she did, I wouldn't care what it was so she'd pick whatever she wanted. In real life, the special name is simply "mine".

My nick came from how I perceive the thing I do with her with a few random numbers tossed on the end so I didn't have to worry about anyone else's use of the word.

tolovetolaugh -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 10:27:18 PM)

I love to laugh. I like that anyone I am talking to knows that.
It's like a subtle *hint hint*

sweetsub1957 -> RE: All in a name (6/10/2009 10:39:12 PM)

my profile name used to be crazyredhead1957 but i changed it 'cause i got too much negative feedback on that name.  Then it became sweetsub1957. sweetsub because a Dom i knew kept telling me how sweet and innocent i was when i first discovered bdsm and how the lifestyle would eat me up and spit me out, and 1957 is my birthyear.  Sir calls me "babypony" or "ponybaby" referring to His ponygirl.....or "sweetie."  Either that or "sassy" 'cause sometimes i joke a little too much.  He loves it though.  [:D]

IrishMist -> RE: All in a name (6/11/2009 5:47:30 AM)

Nothing special about my name. It's a combination of a nickname that I have had since I was about nine ( mist ) with Irish thrown in because well...I am Irish.
