Vanilla Fantasy Musk is the first body spray I was ever allowed to wear and I wear it still! Men and women both comment on it and many(too many???) have said they used to only get to wear it to Sunday School! It smells clean and nice and it so works for me.

BadJezebel -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/10/2009 11:09:50 PM)

I can only wear Chanel perfumes (or ones I make myself on occasion). I've never bought a bottle though. EIther my father or a boyfriend or sub bought it form me. I feel like I can't buy myself a bottle on principle.

I've been wearing Coco for years. Coco Mademoiselle smells nice but it evaporates too easy. I have my heart set on a bottle of Allure Sensuelle -- let's see if I get it on my birthday.

Starbuck09 -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/10/2009 11:17:06 PM)

I'm just going to throw this out there, i've always quite liked the smell of sweat if i'm with a girl whose been working out I think that smells fantastic.

DeathinRevelry -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 12:27:24 AM)

Don't wear a scent as part of my daily routine, although I've discovered a wonderful Teatree Mint shampoo by Organix that always gives me a nice purry feeling to start the day. For some reason, my body chemistry doesn't mix too well with perfume, so the body sprays from B&BW were a godsend- Honeysuckle for an evening out that's going to have a nice little leather kick at the end, and Warm Vanilla for something a little more lingering and sensual.

StoneFox -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 1:28:37 AM)

I generally wear a scent called "Maybe Baby" by Benefit, both because the it's divine and because I say that little phrase a lot.

But I also love..
Soul by Curve
L'Air Du Temps
Anias Anias
B&BW Moonlight Stroll (or something like that)

ShellyD -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 3:51:14 AM)

Marc Jacobs
Marc Jacobs Daisy
Versace Bright Crystal

I wear my fragrance in my hair (saves on drycleaning) and my body heat 'activates' it.

note: when the local stores no longer carry fragrances I like, I can usually get them on Beauty Encounter or PerfumeEmporium

Thanks for the links, I found my all time favorite (and discontinued) Feminite Du Bois by Sisheido...a fabulous musky woody floral scent that makes all go mmmmm

I prefer the smell of a woman's perspiration, myself  ;-)

If a woman is clean, healthy, and addiction-free... I'd prefer to smell her.

But thanks for the effort anyway, Ladies. It's the thought that counts.

My guess would be that, in most cases, we're wearing scent to please ourselves, not making an effort to pander to someone else's desires.

So I shouldn't get rid of my Warm Vanilla Sugar body wash?  I was in ECSTASY yesterday at Bath & Body, they had the summer sale with the scents I LIKE.   It was worth trudging around the mall with a heavy ass bag.  [:D]

Sale at Bath and Body Works?????    Where are my car keys?  I always stock up on Moonlight Path during the sale....it's musky and sweet at the same time.  Just had a man compliment me on it last week.   It's nice but not overpowering.

Warm Vanilla Sugar is a close second.  I like smelling like a cookie!  But DAMN THEM for discontinuing their scented soaps!  I hate body wash - give me good old fashioned (scented) soap anytime.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 8:37:19 AM)

The soaps are DISCONTINUED??  Thank heavens I stock up like a maniac, then.  I do like the body wash, since I use those scrubber gloves, but the soap is right there next to the sink!

My FAVOURITE scent is lemon.. remember Love's Baby Soft?  They made a lemon scent as well, and Avon made Lemon Velvet!  Nieman Marcus USED to sell a fab line of scented soaps and lotions, one of which was verbena.  I continue the hunt for lemony things that are REALLY lemony, not faint and sugary.

At B & B---Cool Citrus Basil, Juniper Breeze, White Tea & Ginger.

lizi -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 8:51:33 AM)

White Shoulders has been my signature scent forever and I was given Irresistable by Givenchy by my youngest for Mother's Day a while back. I get complimented on both quite often. They get sprayed in the hair and applied to pulse points -especially to the neck since I like getting bitten there [;)]
My partner also goes nuts for the smell of my sweat. I think he plans the myriad things for us to do that involve us working out physically (biking, hiking, kayaking, etc) so he can smell me after lol.

Exactly. And cheesy as it sounds Celine Dion has several that I love...and several I hate. My favourite was one that was made especially for me, in a little shop in Paris, as a gift. Unfortunately it's gone, the person that gave it to me is gone, and I have no idea where she purchased it. It was amazing.

I am very picky with perfumes and would rather wear none than one I don't love. Most are too strong and give me a headache. Yet I don't like the smell of most lighter fragrances. Nothing fruity and nothing musky. It has to have just the perfect balance.

The title of the thread made me think of a different scent, which really is my favourite. A healthy, clean, arroused, woman. No additives required.

kuriouswitch -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 1:29:18 PM)

I wear Opium, it's a scent I remember my aunt and mom wearing growing up. I also get away with wearing men's Stetson with my chemistry it takes on more of a floral scent that's light as well as Tim MaGraw's men's cologne, when I wear that it smells like men's stetson. I usually just dab it on my neck and wrists and Master seems to enjoy them.

TEMPERANCE -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 5:03:05 PM)

I wear either Coco by Chanel or Cashmere Mist by Donna Karen depending on my mood.

Vendaval -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 5:11:04 PM)

I prefer warm, spicy scents like sandalwood, frankincense, musk and opium. For body washes I usually go for a mixture of cocoa and shea butter or something tropical.

LyraLaLaurie -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 6:51:46 PM)

It looks like a lot of dominant women wear warm or exotic scents...lots of vanilla! I'm very allergic to vanilla...JCB from b&b is the closet I get :(

has anyone had a sub have a reaction to perfume in session? cause I couldn't be around vanilla very long :(

StoneFox -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 6:57:29 PM)

Nope, never had that happen (thankfully). I would be horrified if it did, especially in a place where we couldn't get away from eachother and I couldn't rinse off (i.e. car ride)

DavanKael -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 10:02:33 PM)

Almond, cinnamon, sandalwood, occasionally lavender and nag champa (Oils)
Endless Love by Victorias Secret and peach body spray
I sometimes layer
As to locales, wrists and my hair where it lays against my neck, and I may add other places depending on mood
  Davan

liks2plzlf -> RE: The Scent of a Woman (6/11/2009 10:40:10 PM)

I prefer Chantilly, and Chanel #5
