Breatheone, I am watching Haunted Mansion on ABC. I cannot view anything from youtube due to the lack of Flashplayer on my computer (tis 7 years old). Hence, I am asking for a news report.

Maybe we should post all the news stories about criminals and how they disrespect ALL people as they commit crimes

That has to be the most totally irrelevant post I've read on  these forums in months.

Google is a wonderful tool.  It's would have taken you 10 seconds to find hundreds of stories about this.

Blue wall of silence...
On come on... Plently of books writen about it... Who was that cop in the 70's? Wrote 'Onion' (?) and others.

Sure brotherhood of cops.

But w/ video tech, things are changing. Getting rid of 'bad employees' is always a good thing, so one would think. Issue is the person=cop, he needs possibly anger management help...

Joseph Wambaugh; excellent writer.  I've read most of his novels.  He was a LAPD officer for 16 years, and he writes a lot about police corruption and the "blue wall of silence."

barelynangel -> RE: Oklahoma Cops Attack Paramedics (6/13/2009 5:59:38 PM)

Yeah kinda like a criminal who has gotten off time and again or just a slap on the wrist for causing victims in the world who decide it would be cool to kill somoene.

Too bad the citizens don't have an "internal affairs division" for the average person --- oh wait they sorta do.  Unfortunately there are some people who don't feel its necessary but then these same people don't hold their fellow citizens responsible for their own actions instead want to blame the "internal affairs division of the general public".

Again, who's gonna start the thread of all the crimes people commit......

Me too adore google, this computer doing upgrade things- running slow, and too many open windows will cause crash.

barelynangel -> RE: Oklahoma Cops Attack Paramedics (6/13/2009 6:03:04 PM)

Panda, seeing that i believe the only reason this OP posted this thread was to somehow validate his own ideas about cops and his continuous generalization of same, its completely relevant.  To bad he doesn't have the same drive to out all of the citizens who commit crimes and the same zeal to want them to PAY for their crimes, if he and others like him did -- we probably wouldn't need so many cops.  To bad he doesn't hold citizens who commit crimes to the same concept of responsibility, perhaps if he did -- i would give him his props about his ideas about bad cops, but he would rather pat criminals on the head and make all cops bad than make people who commit crimes responsible for their actions. Didn't you know committing a crime is okay as long as its not a VIOLENT one, even though non-violent crimes usually have victims (just to clarify for the op --- victims aren't the ones committing the crimes) but those victims aren't really victims didn't you know?   However, i have seen what people DO to other people both non-violent and violent way to much to excuse them as he does.  When i advocate cops it doesn't mean i advocate BAD cops.  However, the OP generalizes alll cops which to me is what puts ALL cops in danger and ya know what, that is why so many cops are hurt in the line of duty -- but i guess that's oh well.  .

It's been revealed in hundreds of investigations in the past 50 years, but it's just a conspiracy against police officers by left wing agitators.

So you're still living 50 years in the past, hmmm? That explains a lot.

Unless they kill you in the process.  $5 million won't mean much to you then.  It's a natural reaction to defend one's self from attack or to flee.

So then let's get rid of all cops, right? Let's just do away with them.

Hope you have a bomb shelter. Because it's going to get ugly.

Wow...and in that same story *YOU* posted....

"We've been well aware of the fact that this incident has drawn enormous attention, but made the decision to protect the integrity of the investigation, any and all relevant evidence, as well as the rights of the department employees," Oklahoma Highway Patrol spokesman Capt. Chris West said in explaining why video from the trooper's dashboard camera wasn't released until Friday."

But see, you're not interested in the investigation part. You just want to immediately tar and feather the cops. You will never understand their job, so go on hating them the way you always do. I'm sure they will lose no sleep over not having your fan-following.

Vampz -> RE: Oklahoma Cops Attack Paramedics (6/13/2009 6:07:50 PM)

Yeah Ok, I'm newbie but I think Slaveboy is just expressing justified rage about icky fked up cops.

Seriously ya run into one who is having bad day and power tripper and you are lucky to escape w/o kissing their thinger.

Nice try.  "Over the past 50 years" clearly implies up until now.  It was less than 10 years ago that news came out about rampant police corruption in the Rampart Division of Los Angeles, New Orleans PD (remember the FBI recording of a NOPD officer ordering the hit on a prostitute for filing a abuse complaint against him?), the infamous broomstick sodomizing incident of a immigrant in a NYPD station house, and many others.

You're the one that seems to be living in the past.  You seem to believe that all police officers are like Joe Friday on Dragnet.

You know what else is funny? He keeps going on about the "blue wall of silence"......what...I guess the gang members and criminals are just oh-so-forthcoming with information when THEY commit crimes, right?

I'm sure all criminals just run right up to the cops and say "I did it, I did it. Lock me up."[:D]
