I have come to this conclusion. I do not care what anyone else believes about me. I am a Dominant female living my life the way that I wish too. My sub recognizes me as Dominant and that is all that matters to me. What these nameless, faceless people behind a computer think of me is of no concern. I feel the same way about the groups in my area. They can either accept me for who I am or stay away from me. How I live my life is my business and no one elses and I am in a very happy fulfilling relationship. Many people cannot make that same claim. So I guess it boils down too, do you care what others think? or do you care more about what you think of yourself? ~Lashra

I've not read all of the replies but I find myself wondering how this is different from folks having all sorts of wacky unrealistic expecatitions about the people they claim to wish to be in relationships with. A lot of people really have a huge issue with the demarcation between reality and fantasy. Davan

So, you all really believe that only one side of this has unrealistic expectations? Don't get me wrong... I love a good "bitch fest" thread as much as anyone. (It helps keep us jaded types from forgetting we have to work at it to earn your much needed attentions.) But please, remember, we see a lot of stuff from our side too that isn't all that pretty. Something to the tune of "The Illusion of Perfection" or some such thing. I have no reason to believe that any of us are without flaws, issues, or problems. I'm far from perfect and I make that truth known quite often. I've even been known to show My ass (in the non literal sense) once or twice. I've been known to have to apologize for it, too. When you do start such a thread, I'll be happy to add My own thoughts as to how the perception came to be that we are anything other than....... human.

By the original poster's logic, humans should submit to horses. Where do people need guns? Dangerous big cities, the woods where dangerous wild animals live...Many anti gun people seem to have a method of self defense that consists solely of hoping that nothing bad ever happens.
