A very tasteful and touching tribute to Michael Jackson's life. I was particularly touched by Bernice King's speech. She was very uplifting. It was nice to hear the funny little vignettes from Magic Johnson and Brooke Shields. Little Miss Paris made me cry. What a beautful young girl she is.

Actually, having Paris express her love for her father was serendipity for me.
When I think of the allegations he had to deal with, I think the fact that his UM
made such an impact at his memorial service was fitting.

I am glad to see you in such a jolly mood.
Are you still moonwalking?
The ceremony was indeed awesome.

Yes, and I also watched those very same videos, he was very handsome, and his performances seemed to me just great fun, especially the Thriller video. Now, why he decided on this surgery 'improvements' (ahem) is beyond comphension. Very Handsome, even beautiful in fact.

The guy on the cover of "Thriller" was a good looking young man. It's been said that the reason he may have opted for so much self-mutilation was that he looked in the mirror and saw his father and wanted to look as little like the man as possible. And he certainly succeeded at that. It's a shame they won't bury the poor man and let him rest in peace already. He's been dead almost two weeks already.

I have chosen to forget the bad things that Michael had to endure.
He was a legend in my generation.  He and I were the same age and experienced the same things.  He had to cross racial bearriers that most people would given up a long time ago; however, he was different.  He was called to make a change.   He did, and I will always love him for it.
It is so sad to see such a great talen die so young; however, he was called home so that someone else will make a way for this generation coming along.

Regards,

Yeah, no kidding. I was thinking the same thing today. This is just plain creepy. Jesus, what's next? Are they going to drag the box around from city to city for one last tour? I'm going to have nightmares tonight, featuring him from that "Thriller" video, with pieces of flesh falling off his staggering corpse. Put the poor bastard in the ground and be done with it, for god's sake!

I watched it as well and it was very moving overall and so sad when his daughter broke down and when Marlon broke down after making a final request of Michael.

What request did he make? Do you remember? I'm just curious what he might have asked.

I don't think anyone can say for sure why the extremes he went to, changing his appearance. One says, as you, he didn't want to look like his father, another told me, his father beat him, and told he was ugly......all that will become some sort of legend fodder to justify the reasons. Plainly, he, in his life, achieved more record sales in the history of the entertainment industry, out doing all those who went before him, and any one coming up will not break that record for some good years and even to marraiage to Elvis's daughter...what else then but to become a white man.

With all the money he made, in reality he accomplished no good thing for anyone expect to fill his and the treasure troves of Sony. His escapade sex scandals are forgiven, justified with...see he was proved innocent of the charges...not so, he bought his way out of the charges...and really no one will ever know the truth of the charges, how the marketing team of Sony played a part, their lawyers, what they estimated may be the result of a trial finished and the possible outcome; after all, the trials were going against him.

I don't know the number of the human mass that bid their farewell tribute, but it was predicted to be at least 750 thousand people...another record for a departed celeb.

Mother Threasa didn't recieve that much of a farewell, or maybe she did; as far as media notice, not hardly; but she's gone, and she actually did something with her life. MJ...nothing but a fabricated money making machine who indulged in excesses to the maximum.

The circus has just begun...MJ will be milked for all the money that can be wrung out of his corpse...till the very last drop. You might say, the same as Jesus...making money for centuries over this fabricated man-god myth, the same will happen with MJ, as with Elvis (and MJ had his daughter)......I would not be surprised if the wedding chapels will have MJ impersonators for weddings, MJ conventions with thousands of MJ lookalikes....even MJ's parachuting from the sky...movies will be made; an MJ christmas....hell, why not a 24/7 non-stop tv show, continous, exclusively showing every MJ CD, interview, discussions of his greatness, dialogues on the deciphering the meanings of his tunes.....all going non-stop, 24 hours day and night.

Michael passing away is so sad. It is almost as sad as when Mama Cass overdosed on a ham sandwich. I use to lay awake in bed wondering if it had cheese on it or not.

With that much chopping (and welding to undo) ... surprising that casket isn't rattling, as you say "Two autopsies?????"

Hell man, I'm still traumatized when I read that Jayne Mansflied got decapitated in an auto accident, boozing it up with her jackoffs in that caddy. Imagine her locking her legs around the drivers head and he rams into the rear of a semi. Oh the humanity.

Yes I remember. He asked Michael to give their brother Brandon, Marlon's twin, a hug and tell him he loved him.

I hope now that all the funerals and memorials are done, he is finally in his final resting place and that things will die down. I stayed away from the constant coverage and hype over it and only watched yesterday for the memorial and left it at that.

I think they should still do his concert tour....kinda like a Weekend At Bernie's thing. Just put him up onstage and move his chair with some rope.
He's pretty much all wax anyway. Doubt there will be any decompostition for at least five years.

Al Sharpton's an idiot.   Can't stand that publicity seeking 50's doo wearing motherfucker. I'm sure he tossed a coin to decide whether or not he should attend until it landed in his favor. (Since Michael's skin was no longer black, I'm sure Sharpton was a bit 'fused)

**Note I said Michael's SKIN***

Don't get me started on Sharpton. Could have done without some of the things he said and he was obviously playing a part and playing to publicity as I saw it. I felt no actual emotion or sense of loss in what he said at all.
