I don't believe in them in the literal sense at all. Nor do I make death out to be anything other than what it is.

I dunno, while I don't claim to be a proud member of the Billy Mays Fan Club,  I didn't mind him as much as Ron Popeil. Plus, he sold some really good products that actually worked, unlike a lot of other shucksters. His enthusiasm and exuberance could get to me after so long but I liked him. He was just your average guy selling a product.

It's a shame about his death, my prayers are with his family.

You know...of anyone who has recently passed...he is actually one that I'll miss.  My um and I have a wednesday ritual of mythbusters, pitchmen and occasionally deadliest catch.  That sucks.

Part of life though...it goes on.

I never paid much attention to his name, but he could sell ice to an eskimo.
His personality and voice were hypnotic, he appeared to love doing those infomercials.
I am sure the $$$$$ didn't hurt either.

I find it real strange that he had that bump on the head {caused by the airplane}, which he complained about, than died real suddently right afterwards.
I have to believe that "bump" triggered something.
A lot of time we have conditions that are already there, all many people need is one good bump on the head to do them in.

The Hillsborough County Medical Examiners Office concluded that it was a heart attack or other problem that brought about his death. They could find no evidence of any contusions or external effects that would cause it; they didn't even find a bump or bruise on his head. They also found evidence of as yet unnamed pain medications in his system but the levels found and the remaining medicine in his bottles indicate that it was being taken as prescribed. The pain medication was to relieve the pain caused by a bum hip, which he was scheduled to go in for surgery on it earlier today.

Maybe he had a heart attack because of the "bump"?
I still feel it was "bump" related, or that "bump" triggered something.

There are thousands of articles related to "bumps" on the head.

IF you have an underlining medical condition {as many people do}, a bump to the
head can cause internal bleeding.
Billy Mays HAD heart disease, that answers it for me.
Who knows how long he might have lived without the "bump"?

TAMPA, Fla. – An official autopsy report released Friday found that cocaine use contributed to the heart disease that suddenly killed TV pitchman Billy Mays in June, but his family called the finding "speculative" and considered getting an independent look at the results.
