I don't know why "we" obey since I don't know anyone else and am not part of any larger community of people who obey. I know why I obey. I obey because to not obey would sned my spirit into such a stomach-knotting ball of unease that I would be nearly sick. I don't obey out of any fear, I obey because I am pretty much hard-wired to obedience. I also would hate to see a look of disappointment on my Master's face.

The other thing I was getting at was even if you are looking at it in a more serious way from the standpoint of being compelled from other various personality components it still comes down to the basic level of wanting to do it. It just seems as though whatever someone's dark and twisted (or simple and joyful) reasons are for obeying another person it would need to come first of all from the standpoint of wanting to do it.
