Until she's YOUR sub she's just a normal regular everyday Jane and can demand or desire whatever she wants! If you're not comfortable with what she wants then she's not the gal for you.

I am alone in thinking that a potential sub who writes on her profile that she doesn't respond to what she conciders 'rude' messages and that she 'demands' respect for her wishes is hardly very submissive?

Just because I am a slave does not give anyone the right to treat me with disrespect or anything less than courtious. I am damn submissive, just not to the A** who thinks I am deserving of rude, crude kindergarden behavior

Without seeing the profile the OP is referring to, I can't really offer an opinion about the way the woman phrased things.  In general, though, I usually don't email people who have profiles that sound vehement, bitter, or angry.   If the bulk of the profile is taken up with phrases like "don't bother emailing me if...", I move on.  Profiles are often the first impression people make of you on a site like this, and one with an overwhelmingly negative tone can make anyone seem unappealing.

There are a lot of poor wording choices to be found in profiles, singles ads, etc.  When reading through ones written by women (on vanilla or BDSM sites), I usually bypass ones that start out with these phrases:

- "Looking for a REAL/TRUE..."
- "Where are all the REAL/TRUE..."
- "Are there any good men left?"
- "I'm tired of all the..."
- "Why do men always..."
- "...generous..."

When it comes to profiles written by men (I'm bisexual), I don't respond to one-liners, text-speak writing (ex. "looking 4 a hrd guy"), negative things like the ones listed above, etc.

Since I have profiles and have posted ads on gay and/or bisexual male forums and websites, I get a lot of emails with one-line replies, requests for one-night stands, and penis shots, just like most women do.  They don't bother me, though - I just ignore them.  I don't find them insulting or degrading, and I see no point in getting angry or bitter about them.  I'm just not interested in people who don't take the time to write in complete sentences and actually say something.  I can easily wade through 99 of them (deleting as I go) to get to the one that actually has something interesting to say.

I would think it meant that she doesn't want to deal with rude asshats. Makes sense to me. There are a lot of assholes out there who think because a women is submissive, she is going to fall to her knees at his feet. Being submissive does not mean you have to put up with that behaviour.
