Without seeing the profile the OP is referring to, I can't really offer an opinion about the way the woman phrased things. In general, though, I usually don't email people who have profiles that sound vehement, bitter, or angry. If the bulk of the profile is taken up with phrases like "don't bother emailing me if...", I move on. Profiles are often the first impression people make of you on a site like this, and one with an overwhelmingly negative tone can make anyone seem unappealing. There are a lot of poor wording choices to be found in profiles, singles ads, etc. When reading through ones written by women (on vanilla or BDSM sites), I usually bypass ones that start out with these phrases: - "Looking for a REAL/TRUE..." - "Where are all the REAL/TRUE..." - "Are there any good men left?" - "I'm tired of all the..." - "Why do men always..." - "...generous..." When it comes to profiles written by men (I'm bisexual), I don't respond to one-liners, text-speak writing (ex. "looking 4 a hrd guy"), negative things like the ones listed above, etc. Since I have profiles and have posted ads on gay and/or bisexual male forums and websites, I get a lot of emails with one-line replies, requests for one-night stands, and penis shots, just like most women do. They don't bother me, though - I just ignore them. I don't find them insulting or degrading, and I see no point in getting angry or bitter about them. I'm just not interested in people who don't take the time to write in complete sentences and actually say something. I can easily wade through 99 of them (deleting as I go) to get to the one that actually has something interesting to say. - Jesse
