Hmmmm ... Not ALL "football in sign language" involves the deaf you know

(I've seen plenty of "non verbal communication" on this subject over time)

"Around the same time that Lenny Henry got a job in the BBC's credit control department..."

Hey, until you can prove he's bi and would want to hit me up on the down low tip (which I doubt after seeing him here in Oz), I gots no probs with that.  he couldn't fuck up the finances worse than the tardo's MY TAXES paid for.

(see how British pub banter this is already...?)

"She's game enough all right.....but Lenny's part of the deal.....they're a double team.....all or nothing. "

See above, but again, on some levels I am conservative, on others I am not.

Lenny is free to watch my Gaelic Glutes as I split tracy's Tush as long as that's all we're talkin' about, Willis.

"What's wrong with Hadrian's Wall? "

Nothing.  It's a wonderful way for people to pretend that "Scottish" ends at the border of some moldy masonry that a crippled midget wallaby with bunyons could jump over after sucking mescal.

I listen to the radio streaming on the internet.

The political discussions on Radio 4 are always worth a listen.....

I think viking-ism sounds like it must be at its basest level, romantic.

Certainly the vikings were more than simply barbarians. There's a rich tradition of viking poetry and their art was sophisticated in its day so I suppose there was more to them than the popular image of the warrior. What makes you think viking-ism sounds like it must be at its basest level, romantic.

I know Durham, albeit fairly vaguely.
Much of what you've said rings true for the region.  There's aspects of it across areas up here still but I've still never seen chess being played.
When on a pub crawl we entered the Pig & Whistle to find a bar stool flying out of the pub door as we were going in.  Thankfully it missed us all but it was close.
Durham (parts thereof) is the natural home of Beamish.  It takes far less effort to build somewhere like Beamish in/around Durham than anywhere else I've seen with the possible exception of Amble.
I used to drink in Cullercoats - there was always someone on hand to spread the disgust of the state of the country.  The only time they stopped was during the pub quizzes.
I've seen horse and whippet racing on telly's in pubs up here but it was a while ago...  Quite a while ago.
Working Men's Clubs - the salt of the Earth.  I used to like the Legion, snooker, cheap ale, sweary room for the lads and a "swear in here and be banned for a week" room for the ladies.  I miss drinking in there.

As for the invite, it's open to all.  A few people are showing KinkMeet in their signatures.  Feel free to click away and let Jonnie or myself know if you can make it.

Tracy's only in it for the conversation and dancing.......Lenny is the one with designs on unravelling your tender Irish disposition and making a man of you.....no discounts offered; no questions asked.

Best to stay conservative mate as Lenny isn't the compromising type.

Well I don' know what radio 4 is as opposed to anything else. I go to BBC web site and run the streaming thing whatever is on. I often think the accent sounds like it's not real, although I know it is. It sounds exaggerated. I think they do a brilllieant job with the news,. I dig it I'm very tipsy.

What I mean about romanticism and viking ish ness is that it seems to me to be base and raw and esoteric...like the bs and layers of societal prerogatives matter not so much. Like that.

dumbing it down as per Darwinism and Cougar Cult:

all D'ism is about make da baby, then protect da baby, cuz da baby is da Tribe.

Current wimmens under 25 are too DUMB and LAZY to do what is necessary to protect da Tribe and da Babies even if they manage to put down their i-pods long enough to PROPERLY make da baby.

only young "bucks" work into it because you feed them what they wanna eat, make them cum hard, let them play some Nintendo crap, without nagging and demanding money you (by the young buck mindset) don't deserve, they love you ten times as much as th 22 year old bimbo who nags before she even knows how to milk a buck with her booty.

and whinges about BJ's.

Darwinian case closed.

It certainly represents a certain segment of society - the urban upper middle classes who tend to err on the side of Liberalism. Accents are strange things in this country - they can be the gateway to opportunity for some and a barrier for others.

Ahh yes. Well this is the wrong country for that sort of carry on - you can't buy a cheese and onion pasty without being bombarded with a wealth of pleases and thank yous. I don't really know enough about the vikings and their social customs to say....but if you're ever over this way there's an excellent viking centre at York for you to enjoy.

the fact of the matter is, it doesn't make any sense, darwin or otherwise, for women my age to match libidinously with young men.

I have no idea what to make of your comments here. The wrong country? You are polite?
Thank you for the tourism advice...?
