ORIGINAL: OrionTheWolf " WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Enrollment in the major U.S. antihunger program, food stamps, grew by 1.2 million people in two months and stands at a record 33.8 million people, the government said on Wednesday. " http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSTRE56759420090708 Glad there are programs like this since unemployment will likely top to 12%. What is really sad is that there is a need for assistance at all and the fact that to get food stamps, one must have a place to cook the food at. When they become homeless, I wonder what will happen next. No home, no food stamps... Unless they change the guidelines, what little help those in need could get, they could lose at a more serious point of need. And what happens when there are more in need than those not in need can afford? Personally I believe that day is coming.
