That is so very true.

Just for further clarification and to provide a little further insight the sort of prejudice I'm talking about here is the view that someone is unacceptable as a fellow human being, which is usually based on the assumption that they are deluded, mentally ill or trying to be someone who they're not without knowing that person.

Therefore someone who isn't aware of TG issues or who hasn't had contact with someone who is TG also isn't prejudiced. They just don't understand.

This actually clarifies a bit better, Stella.  Thank you for your time.

This isnt true either, just because someone may or may not have interacted with a TG, it doesnt mean they dont understand the problems. That like saying because someone is white they dont understand racial hatred.

Like it or not, no one is under any obligation to interact with anyone whom they prefer not to. When I was younger I had a liking for blondes, it didnt mean I was prejudiced against other women, just that I prefered blondes. Not all TG`s come across as feminine ( Note feminine and not female ) Some men just prefer a more feminine type.

I never did.  I know people chat for many differnt reasons, and I would never assume it was for x y or z, And I still stand by what I said about chat rooms being a gamble. Some are friendlier than others, and some are not so friendly, and if we, as chatters find the rooms in hospitable, or less friendly than we like, find another room and see if this room was friendlier, or decide if chat rooms are where we want to hang out if none of the chat experiences have been satisfying..

Where do you get I assume anything about chat rooms and those going into chat rooms. Unless of course you presumed my statement that people who put profiles on here and do not want to do x y or z,  with TG's or what ever they want to do on here are the same as the websites policy on TG to be some kind of assumption that any one in chat comes to chat for sex, which isn't indicative at all of why people come to chat. Just that personal users who post profiles that say no TG's are not the owner and founder of the websites policy on TG's.

Edited cause I mis spelled some stuff.

Just do not assume that every single person going into a chat room is looking to hook up for the sake of sex. A little humanity and offer of friendship goes a hell of a long way. Just saying yanno.

That was strictly a comment, there was no specifics aimed at you or anyone else. Sometimes an opinion is just an opinion.

I agree with you entirely here. I was just trying to be concise on a very broad topic.

Sorry if I came across as having a dig Stella. I feel there is a very big difference between prejudice and preference. My analogy would be as follows, If I refused to work with someone because they were a TG, thats prejudiced. If I asked someone out because I found them sexy, thats preference.

I don't do collarme chat, but in the past what I have noticed in chat rooms is that most have a group of regulars. These people have gotten to know each other and like all friends, prefer to talk to people they know instead of a stranger.

If this is what happened, then the op needs to learn that just because someone prefers to talk to a friend doesn't mean they're prejudiced. They simply have more fun talking to friends.

I've never seen a new person come into chat and have my first response be to perv their profile, and I doubt I'm alone. Going by the op's screen name no one would know that she is tg, There is an art in becoming accepted in a chat room filled with regulars, apparently the op doesn't know it.

I'm going along with the others and say that the chat rooms are tricky. Every once in a while I get bored and go into one with the idea that I'll be finding people to chat with and not be so bored anymore. Wrong. Trying to enter an ongoing conversation between a group of friends is very hard to do in any situation. I could say I'm being ignored because I'm (take your pick of my deficiencies) old, Caucasian, weird, nearsighted, middle class, a bad driver or unable to understand Urdu, but that's probably not the case.
I'm definitely not making fun of you OP, it's hell to be discriminated against in any way but I'm not sure that's what is happening here.

Also mentioned was the personal preferences of other people in choosing who they want to speak with or contact. As it was said, you can't do anything about that and it's going to happen that people do indeed have preferences...oh well. I've not been in your situation and I see that I can't truly appreciate what it entails but please don't feel disappointed over something you have no control over.

I hope things go well for you, drop me a cmail if you ever want to chat

OP, technically stella is a TG.  But I don't think of her like that.

I think of her as an Englishwoman who lived in Poland for thirteen years and still carries a lot of Polish culture with her.  I think of her as a wickedly able lyricist.  I think of her as a diehard political liberal.

I know this about her because she chose to share it all in her posts.  She has permitted me to see other aspects of her besides her sexuality and gender.

OP, I suggest that you do the same and establish your identity.
