Lockit -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/18/2009 12:47:39 AM)

You are forty years old and ought to know the answer to that one. You have the talk down pat... so it's not like you are a lost, confused and unaware person.

KaityK -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/18/2009 3:10:29 AM)

Posts like this are so worrying.

This is a silly question, poated by someone in a panic. If the Op would sit down for ten minutes and think it through, she would find out she has no reason to feel guilty because she said no to a man who has a life thretening communicable virus. She dogged a bullet on this one. And should remember that.

and KaityK has the right to her opinon that threads like this throw commen sence out the fucking window because the Op was to busy thinking about the fact she might not be a "true" slave, instead of worrying bout her own SAFETY. Because she pretty much saved her own life, by saying no. She dogged a bullet, luckily she found a guy who wasent a total asshole, in that he actually TOLD her he had the HIV virus.

LadySweetOrSour -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/18/2009 3:25:35 AM)

I'm a dominant. Doesn't mean I expect every submissive or slave to fall at my feet. What code do you think you're violating exactly? The code of not wanting HIV???

"Real" slave bullshit is exactly that. Bullshit. YOU choose who you submit to, otherwise you'd be serving everyone in the world who identified as dominant, and you don't do that do you?

Maybe all the threads in these forums are unncessary. Or maybe they're all necessary. Or maybe something in between? In any case, who are we to decide which threads aren't necessary? If the OP felt the need to post, then in my opinion the thread has purpose. It doesn't appear to break the forum rules, or be trying to troll for reactions, as far as I can tell. Seems legit. I doubt you'd like people coming into your threads and saying "This should never have been said, tsk tsk. She should have just figured it out on her own."

And so do I, and so do you. Sweet! :)

Sunnyfey -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/18/2009 3:35:34 AM)

No, what I ment to say was, not that the post is irrelevent, or her feeling are not nessicary, its more the fact of, as a human being you shouldent feel guilty for not commiting what *could* be suicide.

A very on point answer.

Short answer, no. No you haven't violated any codes, because they don't exist. Different groups have their traditions, but none can be supported better than any other. You make your rules, even as a slave.

Even if, as some people here could tell you, you engage in 100% TPE, no choices, 1800's style slavery... You still have one trump card. You can always walk away from a situation.

One last note: Someone who identifies as a slave is not a slave to anyone who calls themselves a master. A slave is property to a group or single person. All others are considered equals. My pet has orders to treat all others as equal to her, unless told otherwise.

I honestly do not expect spittle to write back regarding his personal growth because I don't expect him to read this. But these core basics to submission are crucial to anyone lacking them. I hope I was just feeding a troll, but had I not been...

ETA:

One last note, consider RACK: Risk Aware Consensual Kink. The basic tenants of the theory are "You do what you gotta do, but make sure everyone knows what they're getting into, and chooses to continue of their own volition any way."

Did anyone notice that his profile says he is a male straight slave, and that this post is about serving a "master" and not a mistress?  doesnt this raise some questions?

Lashra -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/18/2009 6:38:43 AM)

You two weren't compatible and that is the biggest thing in these relationships (as in all) you have to be compatible. So no you were right to walk away so that you can find someone that you are compatible with on all levels.

Only because you messed up the code word and secret handshake.
*darts eyes left and right*
But if you really want a copy of the code, I could hook you up.  I know a guy at the super-secret-European-school-of-all-things-slavery.

And? Have you thought of the fact that you can catch HIV from non sexual contact?

Missokyst -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/18/2009 7:52:25 AM)

Doesn't raise even one question for me.  I assumed he was a male slave, and bias or not, I also assumed he was considering serving a male.
But would it matter?
Male, female, gay, straight, kinky, it all comes down to the same thing, we are responsible for the choices we make.  To question the choice because they think it is not "true", should be more of a concern as I would wonder if all the sparkplugs were firing.

Nope. Straight male slaves serving masters and straight female slaves serving mistresses is much more common than one might think. The act of having sex does not necessarily determine one's sexual preference.

daintydimples -> RE: Turned a Master down (7/18/2009 8:34:25 AM)

There are many non-sexual ways of serving as well. Not everyone is a relationship has sex.

Just saying.

You are very correct. zaphira has been in this relationship for three years now; she and Master do NOT have a sexual relationship of any kind. It is purely service orientated only.
