You may note from her pictures she is already pierced in both nipples and her hood.  She also has a few of her own tattoos.  We have been married for 12 years, that's why we're moving to the permanent mark.  Thank you for your thoughts.

Right now I already where Sir's collar.  We have talked about branding in the future, but right now that kind of pain is too scary for me.

I've been reviewing my ideas about this question and decided that when I collar another slave and provided she graduated from being a house slave to my personal one, I'll use a triangular curved knot work Celtic design I have already done the art work for as my personal binding mark tattooed in colour on her pubic area and a small "brand" using runic for my name tattooed on her left thigh. Both would look attractive and even a talking point if desired but most mundanes would not make the BDSM or occult connection..

I've always like gnawing on hipbones. Branding shouldn't actually hurt that bad, if done properly -- a quick tap w. a hot iron, and it should be over with. I would stay w. fairly thin lines (think wires more than a traditional branding iron) to keep the tissue damage down -- freeze branding is safer for cattle, but I forget why.

freeze branding is used for clarity of identification since it kills the hair follicles that can hide the brand. It is also less painful for the animal and prevents theft as it is such an obvious marking.

Well said.  Sure, permanent branding is a way for a sub to demonstrate loyalty ... but I'm not sure I'd respect a Dom who feels compelled to ask for one.  Then again, I'm not into pain and believe firmly that loyalty is best demonstrated through daily actions.

My sub has a permanent tattoo underneath her hair of my mark just at the height of her occipital bone.  This seems to work well for me as it is visible enough to be seen but easy enough to hide for vanilla life.

I would have though that if the dynamic and thus the relationship was working well enough to look at visibly marking a slave, the Master/Mistress has already indelibly imprinted themselves on said slave's heart. Just my view anyway seeing as I expect when that time arrives to own her body and soul which is of course a matter of debate amongst the less enlightened

Not going to buy into that one GT on the grounds I'll more than likely incriminate myself in some abstract convoluted way or another

Also remember brands dont last forever, usually about 6 months on light skinned people (as we dont kelloid as well, which is what your looking for in a brand, better kelloid, better scar). That and one thing i never thought about before i got a brand done? The SMELL of burning flesh, MY burning flesh, sickened me so bad, I passed out.

Left me with a halfassed single line, which is now throughly faded thank god after a few months of mederma skin cream.

I could design a totally custom Coat of Arms for you that you could have tattooed onto the slave.

Using the full set of rules pertaining to Arms as used in the UK? Or a simpler version?

Fair comment IronBear, If I was going to be incriminated ... (),  I'd rather it not be in an abstract or convoluted way either !
