At a slight tangent, what is the commerical status of CM? I've always wondered and never got round to asking before. Is it non-profit making with the adverts there to pay the hosting fees?

(That's probably the crucial factor as opposed to free or not. OKCupid is free, but obviously isn't comparable because they have a high turnover of profit each year).

Yo, Apocalypso . . . .. After a little time spent on Google, I'm gonna hazard a guess that it's a private, for-profit entity . .. . . Largely on the basis that non-profits (in the US) are public entities that must practice various levels of disclosure . . . . . & CM looks to have taken efforts to keep it's ownership private . . . .. But purely speculation on my part . .. .

I don't exactly agree with the OP because I don't give a hang if I hit a PRO profile. I like CM. I like it because it's been around a while, still free, works reliably, and not overrun with more features than it needs. I do wish some of the search functionality was different. Like - I would like to look at slaves AND submissives perhaps, or Lesbian AND Bi females, or have the distance function actually work since I am starting to feel like all the hot chicks live in fuckin' San Jose (which may as well be Maine)...grrrrrrrrrr...but really, despite some tweaks I could suggest, I still like CM. Like what the heck can I say? Its free for cripesake, and its been a better way to meet people than a lot of other things I have tried.
