If you will go back and re-read my post you will note something I put in there very specifically.

There is a vast difference between people that physically LIVE their lives according to a gorean philosophy and those that do nothing more than sit at a keyboard and type flowery make believe and call it being gorean. One I have no problem with, the other is ridiculous bullshit.

Regarding the "Contest" - I don't know if Kane will permit a broadsword fight at Lair; however, I'm willing to set up my pool with a balance beam and host a Michael/Leonidas long poll joust - nude of course. It's bad enough to have blood affect the chlorine balance - BATHING SUITS are right out!

Jousting nude balancing over a hot steaming pool could be great fun! A traditional 'Roman Orgy' after-party to follow, complete with a few 'bug slaves'.

Don't know what a bug slave is? Well, back in the old days my ancestors, who hosted orgies, used to take one of the 'bad slaves' and stake him/her out spread-eagle about 25 feet from the outdoor event slathered with honey. That way, any buggy and biting bugs would be attracted to the slave for the benefit and amusement of the guests. You can just see the excitement in the slaves quarters back then; "Good news - you're invited to Master's orgy! - Bad news - you're the 'bug slave'." But hey - you get to go to a GREAT party and see the joust! Any volunteers?

You are just a class act but done in a charmingly innapropriate and irreverant way!

Kane won't support NCSF for some reason as I already checked and if this has the potential for a fundraiser that I think it does (Rover already offered to fly Leonidas to Sacramento) as well as those who already want tickets, I want to make sure we maximize the possibilities and publicity.

You know, three out of three with quarter staffs over a pool of water actually sounds fun, plenty of potential for injury but great fun for all involved, I am up for it but I doubt it would work for Leonidas but who knows.  Its in LA not far from where Leonidas lives, I don't mind the six hour drive and it solves one of my biggest issues which is if one of us doesn't make it, a formal event at a playspace is going to get seriously pissed as well as how to deal with the money raising aspects.  If you are really up for it, I think your offer is beyond perfect!

Dips on the spare room if we do it there!  Sorry Wyld...but I called it!  LOL...

But I love the idea of a bug slave but perhaps that should be the role of the loser of the competition?

I am far from being overly sensitive -- you having been on these boards LONG enough know that what you stated was not only a bait but was also a hey everyone let's start bsing about it.  Which many people will because of ignorance.  Sorry but don't let me lose respect for you because you want to now imply you didn't know or intend.  

As far as i know all of these men do live what they claim whether they are Gorean or non-Gorean and live by some other philosophy of life.  So adding online and roleplayish only adds to the BS and is specifically a direct comment towards what you intended with regard to Gor.  So let's not sink that low shall we?  BEcause many online roleplaying sites have men fighting whether it be SCA or some online fight game etc that have NOTHING to do with Gor.  So your use of the words simply were you adding to the already BS Goreans have to deal with and it was a copout on your part.  I guess its convenient when you have Gor around to forget what non-Gorean men do with all the computer games etc.  I guess its ONLY online roleplaying of GOR that shows the more primal side of Men. 

Sorry, you may want to believe i am stupid and bring in a copout of calling me overlysensitive and reactionary when i call you on your BS, but most people know what i say here is true and you being a long standing member of this site know how people react to the word Gor and specifically the way you stated it was indeed a bait and slam and a hey everyone join me in this idea.

If you want to assume I meant something I didn't, go for it. I fully intended to make a delineation between "real time" and "online gaming" and in my opinion I did. If you wish to see it otherwise, have a party. Your thoughts and feelings about my words or me is not something I worry about. No more so than anyone else on these message boards.

You are correct, I have been here long enough for most reasonable people to know that I wouldn't lob an attack on a life philosophy, that people I happen to like, hold dear.

Some displaced Jews were hiding in the forest, and the men were taking what they called "Forest Wives". In one scene a woman goes to one of the biggest men and says she wants a gun, he states to her that the gun are for the men. She says that she wants a gun to defend herself. He states that men are there to protect the women. She then looks at him and says "then I want protection.". It is a classic example that in general, once we strip away the rule of law and technology, that most women must look to men for protection. It is an evolutionary thing in most women. This does not mean all women, but a large portion. Some of the stories that came out of Katrina showed this as well. If you are a female that can actually protect yourself, then great, but it has been my experience that many say they can but have never been placed into the situation where they have to.

In today's society many females are drawn to men who have more material possesions, and can manage wealth well. This is just a reflection of most females seeking security for themselves, and their offspring. It is an obvious bio-truth that many can deny, but when put into an actual circumstance nature tends to show the natural stratification. What you call juvinile is a male thing about protecting and defending what they see as theirs. Most women do not understand it, and they are not supposed to. Just like many men cannot understand a female wanting a man that has the ability to physically protect them, but then does not want them to be involved in anything that may hurt the man.

Please notice the words I have used, such as "most" or "in general".

As if this thread couldn't get any more ridiculous.

As one of the organizers of this pathetic little circus I want to make one comment.  While I understand why many of you object to this it does have a point.  Merc and I used to argue politics all the time and frankly when I saw his posts about relationship things I thought he was a bit full of shit.  Then we met and well I consider him a very very dear friend.  I was able to look the man in the eye and see him put his words into action, see him live as he says he does.

It isn't a secret Leonidas and I each think the other is full of shit and doubt the other will even show up.  If one of us doesn't, think how much less drama we will see on the boards!  If we both show up, think how much less drama we will see on these boards.  The reality is that if we both show up, that alone is enough to change our opinions of each other.  As someone said at one point, the fight is almost ritualistic even if it is bloody serious.  I frankly don't care about the winning or losing part.  I can't loose in any real sense of the word.  I showed up is what matters.  Take Leonida's name, that Greek isn't famous for winning, he was brave enough to fight a losing battle knowing he would lose going in.  What we will gain is a mutal respect for each other and frankly, that is more than I have for most of the people posting in this thread.

I keep seeing these references for "Real Men" - should that be taken in the same context as "REAL" slave, Master, TPE (Whoops!)". Although beth is really concerned now that the FOX network has identified "Real Woman" as:

Status: offline 		Merc, we are trying to work it out in September, and yes that not only means Folsom but the big Master/Slave conference in DC.

Since Rick and Tina and many of my friends will be in DC I hope to arrange it around those events.  I can't do it sooner as summer school is just too insense to come down.

There seems an unusually large consensus around here that men with broad physical might capable of facilitating their strength are viewed as immature and intellectually inferior. I'll be sure to inform my old Recon Teams, many members of which are university honor grads. The same type of men that watch over the small school rooms in remote areas of Afghanistan where women are given a chance to study. Women that understand and don’t take for granted the strength and abilities of good strong and intelligent men.


For those of you defending men that don’t need to use physical prowess; don’t worry those of us you see as Neanderthal like Ogres most likely don’t want a thing your men have anyway.


See I can be passive aggressive too.
