I'm just going to put this out there. I got dumped once for being TOO obedient. Supposedly, she wanted bratty and mischievous. She originally collared me because she was tired of bratty and mischievous and wanted someone who actually did what he was told and went out of his way to do what would make her happy.

Sometimes, you just can't win.

Wow, that sucks.

But on the bright side, you are well rid of her. You deserve better. Whether intentional or not, the effect you got is of a bait-and- switch. Not fair, and it doomed the relationship. You signed up for one thing, and got another. Too bad, but its better that it happened sooner, than later. You only live once, and you and your time and energy are precious.

My conclusion: There's only one way to win every time, and that's to be yourself every time.  If they don't like it, they can fuck off.
