I freaked out Smooch earlier.....got all dudded up to take a resume out to a jobsite, high heels and skirt, make up, the whole 9 yards.  The shoes freaked him out big time......he got all foofy and puffed up when I was walking around before I left and when I got home......doesn't do much for the ol' self-esteem!  If the other 3 kittehs had an opinion, they kept it to themselves!

I bought a new seat cushion for my office chair and it was in a bag in the dining room.  Lily and Angel managed to get it out of the bag and onto the floor and are now fighting over who gets to sleep on it.  Angel has it currently, but Lily is lying in wait until Angel gets hungry or has to use the litter box.

My Chloe-kitty isn't well.  Her billirubin counts were very high.  Her liver is breaking down.  I'm continuing to give her saline drips at night, appetite stimulants, and liver meds.  If she doesn't start eating, we're going to have to "discuss the options" with the vet.  I'm not very happy right now.  I just want my kitty to be ok.

(((((s2s))))) back to you, lovely lady.  I agree with you.  This was just so random.  She is only 5 years old, was doing very well until a couple of weeks ago, her appetite decreased greatly.  The vet said it's even more odd because she is an only cat, indoors 24/7, and never had any major health issues before.  She said that bug sprays can be highly toxic to cats, but I haven't used any, and I don't know of anything she could have gotten into.  This is quite the anomaly.

I gave her a can of tuna (per the vet, just so she would eat something) and she licked it and walked away.  My ex will be helping me wrap her up and try to give her some of the meds that I was less than successful at giving by myself.  I got the pill plunger to see if that might work.  I had to laugh when the 2 vet techs came in to show me the best way to use it, and chloe kitty managed to not only spit out the pill anyway, but snapped down on the pill plunger and bit it into a gazillion pieces.  (that we had to pick off of her drooly little cat face)    She may be sick, but she has spunk.

Spunk is good.    5 years is so young tho.   Cats go more like 12-20  years.

Yep, I never had one that lived less than 12, with the exception of Rosie, who was killed by a drunk driver.

I am pretty attached to my cat.   I was a dog person....  but now I prefer cats.   They are more of a companion.  Not hyper- relaxing- and cuddly.

We're having thunderstorms this afternoon, and that makes poor Lily a basket case.  She has gone off to hide in a closet.  Angel and Misty are very nonchalant.  Storms don't seem to affect them in the least.

spicy, pepper and urmel are lying with me on my desk (which is currently my bed) but i know that once i have my next coughing attack they'll search the distance fast :o) in general spicy demands a lot of TLC since he's back...which is a nice difference to experience in him :o)

Smooch is off licking his wounded feelings....he was sneaking up on something, and I kicked a plastic shopping bag that had fallen on the floor, and Smoochie jumped straight up into the air like a little jack in the box...at least 3 feet!  I just roared!!!!!  If looks could kill...well, I'd at least be seriously injured!

Angel is rubbing against my leg affectinately....that's her nice way of asking, "Mommy can I go outside?"  If I don't pay attention to her, it results in meowing at the door, followed by loud wailing at the door, so I think I'll let her out now.  Of course, she'll want back in 5 minutes from now, but she signed up to be outside for 2 hours minimum whether she knows it or not.

Lily's off hiding somewhere, resting up from her terror of yesterday's thunderstorms.  I hear there's more on the way later today.

Misty is taking an afternoon snooze.

curry finally appears to have found his confidence outside again. He went outside twice during the day and is currently outside the first time during the night now at our new place. I just hope that he remains his streetwise-ness here as i live even closer to a main road here :o(

Momma Kitty and Trouble are on the railing, resting between storms.  Don't know where Meanie is, probably under the trailer. (hope he does not find the skunk down there).

Meanie is on the porch, giving me the evil eye if I don't bring them food.  Someone help me...

Angel just came in five minutes ago, and of course wants to go back out again.  Lily is sitting under the dining room table, hoping I will let Angel out again.

I am sure curry is kicking his butt for insisting to go outside yesterday...because when I went off to my nightshift he sneaked out of the flat...I moved him back inside but he jumped right outside again....now...as I don't have time to continue that game when I am on the way to work I granted him his wish...which means he is now outside until today in the afternoon...and it is raining

Well...everyone what he asks for

Thank you, sweet lady. Chloe-kitty is currently coming out of sedation, with a new patch of bald belly. I'm very glad the vet said it didn't look cancerous, and he is planning a course of treatment for her while her biopsy goes off to the lab.
