The most recent movie about Alexander the Great. I had heard so much about the special effects, I expected to love it. I thought it was so awful, I could not finish watching it.  And I'm a big Alex fan !!

Martyrs.
Didn't think I would like it.  I ended up totally in awe and it's one of my favourite films.

V for Vendetta.  It didn't make me want to hunt down everyone responsible.  (I'm still a bit scarred from the travesty that was League of Extrordinary Gentlemen.  And by whoever thought that Keanu Reeves was a good casting choice for Constantine).

And The Truman Show.  Jim Carey can do 'understated'.  Wow.

jacob's ladder had an amazing twist
cloverfield pissed me off when i saw it
drag me to hell was a lot more comical than i expected (reminded me of army of darkness)

Cloverfield suuuuuucked. I kept waiting for it to be as good as the hype. Never happened. And I got motion sickness from watching it. :/

i just watched one called "Dark Streets" and loved it, the musical productions were ab-so-lutely marvelous, the acting wasn't bad, but the story line was really weak. The musical numbers make it all worth while though. One thing to watch for is a male singer who uses one of those big 1930's microphones...but there's no cord attached LOL. Here's imdb's review http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0772165/

*ignores the elitism*

Another one I was shocked at was pearl harbour, never before or since have I seen a film with patriotism to the point of jingoism so blatant that still managed to not be burned in the streets

I saw this amazing animation film once.  It showed that you can do great things in that area.  It was called Shrek.  Probably none of you have heard of it.  It's kinda arty.

Food Inc was... I don't know if I should say it was great, or awful.

If you like eating out, don't see it.

If you want a reason to eat better, go see it.

Either way, just eat first, because you will NOT want to after you see it.
