What I should have said Wyzardsgirl is that yes I was surprised that this time I wasn't Mod spanked. I certainly have been several times before this and in all honesty, it was because I let my temper get the best of me. Instead of walking away and leaving it alone I chose to comment in lets say .............not a very nice way. Lesson learned. No biggy. You are not the only person who has had a wrist slapped. It's HOW you disagree. And a couple of plaudits for Mod XI - she's got a job I sure wouldn't have, and (as far as I can tell) she does strive to apply the rules fairly across all.

Been there , got the email - and guess what? The email was right - even though i thought i was being funny, and may have been, it was at the expense of someone else - thus the reason for the spank! As far as i can tell the mods are fairly even handed about their spanks - and OP - how do you know that no-one else was spanked? Now you should compare the moderation to a totalitarian dictator. Hitler is traditional, but if you want to be a bit quirky try Stalin or even Mao.

Being a moderator on an online forum? Sucks the big one. Sometimes mistakes are made, and sometimes otherwise good people get some form of warning or whatever else unfairly. If it's a good moderator though this doesn't tend to happen very often. Personally if for some reason I became obscenely rich I would pay my moderators to do their job correctly, so that a certain sense of professionalism is maintained. They basically are Customer Service Representatives in many ways, and don't get paid a cent to do it. Or, sometimes, like being a babysitter in a house full of kids and not getting paid to do it. How fun is that? ;D

Haven't read the whole thread, don't know wtf happened originally, jumping in to say to the OP: I'm afraid you don't have exclusivity on mod-spanks. I've gotten private messages, I even got moderated for a couple of weeks awhile back. Did I agree with the rationales, nope. Did my stating that alter the decisions, nope. You're not alone in getting annoyed but I also don't think you're going to have a lot of luck in staging some uprising or rebellion against the moderators, I just think you'll get your account deleted if you go 'too far' (And, that's at the discretion of the moderators whether you, I, or anyone else agrees). Also, in defense of the moderators, there are some true asshats that come bashing and crashing around on here sometimes as if it's a verbal mosh pit or circle jerk: the moderators have a plethora of interesting things with which to deal. ..easy fix. Demand a full refund for the fee you paid to get in. Then- find a crowd where you get along with.... 11 is just doing her job. That is how it is. Many of us have been reprimanded by a mod. ....so- best to just get over it.

Not to mention the fact that the instigator of the thread that got locked by Mod 11, also cmailed me crowing about her 'victory' over anyone who had disagreed with her on her thread that was locked. This woman went to great lengths to convey to me that she had 'inside contacts' with the mods here, and by her asking they lock the thread, they complied with her. Maybe she's the one being untruthful? Now, I don't know.

eehh..the whole reason I walked away from the thread... I knew that if I said what I was really thinking about the whole topic and what the OP was doing I'd be banned for life...easier to just wash my hands clean of it and just walk away.
