The problem is that intelligent people bought the idea that we should stop the excessive breeding of children, and have restraint due to overpopulation scares, whereas uneducated people are very happy to pop out more uneducated children and call it "morally responsible." It's an old Catholic trick to have more of your belief system than any other.

This is how morons are elected. Someone you'd rather have a beer with, than have as judge in a court of law.

ANd as for her comment about being able to see Russia, perhaps Sarah got confused when Gibson asked her what "Insight" she had about Russia's actions, and Sarah thought he meant what part of Russia does she have "in sight" from Alaska.

It is a common Beauty contestant mistake, because they are trained to listen to the first part of the question and predict the rest to formulate an answer while the rest of the question is being asked, so that there is not a pause in her answer. She clearly misunderstood the question....as is common for her.

She is hot, but dumb as a box of rocks. And her morals a highly questionable.

Lostkitten3 -> RE: 6 steps to get Sarah Palin to the White House (8/15/2009 9:10:22 AM)

Yes, but see even my republican man doesn't want to LISTEN to her, he just wants to LOOK at her....and imagine all the naughty things he could DO TO her >:)

Clear Channel Not Interested in Hiring Sarah Palin
Clear Channel Broadcasting fears she wouldn’t be able to "hold forth for three hours a day."

On Monday, Inside Radio reported that former governor Sarah Palin’s representatives “have been quietly testing the waters to see how much interest radio syndicators have for her.” While Palin isn’t committed to radio, she is reportedly open to it as “a possible next step.” But the interest in her might not be as great as some had speculated. According to Broadcasting & Cable, Clear Channel Broadcasting, the country’s biggest radio conglomerate, has already turned Palin down because of fears that she wouldn’t be able to “hold forth for three hours a day.”

Now we're trying to stretch to defend her.

She gave a completely inane answer that had nothing to do with the question being asked.

I am not trying to defend her. I asked a serious question. Can you see Russia from the island?

Those on the 'left' seem to be obsessed with Sarah Palin. What are they so worried about ?

I don't know servant, maybe you can search back through the twenty other threads you asked that exact question on and find the answers you were given then.

Myself, I've grown bored with answering it over and over.

Maybe if you avoid snipping quotes to try and mislead?

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

Let's break it down.

Gibson is asking what insights she has given the proximity of her state to Alaska.

He is not asking her what every third-grade geography student can answer.

Yes.

Does that make her answer any more relevant to the question asked, or did she think she was actually in a trivia contest?

"Given the proximity,..."

That was the subject.

She commented on the proximity, it was a part of the question asked.

Yeah, right.

You keep trying to spin it.

He commented on the proximity as part of his question.

She had no answer so she tried to bluff her way through it by "answering" what he had already stated.

Sanity -> RE: 6 steps to get Sarah Palin to the White House (8/15/2009 9:52:56 AM)

You admit that the proximity of Russia to Alaska was a part of the conversation they were having?

But you deny that she had any right to comment on it after Gibson brought it up.

Don't you think that's being overly obsessive?

slvemike4u -> RE: 6 steps to get Sarah Palin to the White House (8/15/2009 10:00:59 AM)

No Sanity,I wouldn't say RML is being overly obsessive...you on the other hand are doing a fine impersonation of a contortionist as you tie yourself in knots trying to defend this particular Palinism......please keep in mind, once you are done here...there are about a hundred more examples we can choose from.
You just might get a little tired of all the knots if you are going to continue to defend this Alaskan train wreck.

I see.

Sooooo, Gibson decided to take a few minutes of a nationally televised interview to settle the raging controversy and address the questions that exist in so many American minds about just where Alaska is.

This was the perfect opportunity to clear up all those misconceptions by asking someone who actually lived there.

Not only lived there, but was in fact the Governor.

And Sarah came through with flying colors, letting everyone know that Alaska was indeed close to Russia.

I know it cleared that whole thing up for me.

I'll give up razzing Palin on her "from my house" comment when the GOP stops blowing their nose on Gore for funding the computer research that led to the creation of the internet.  Two faced fuckers they are, I feel safe in saying that I'll be kicking Palin's ass with humor and sarcasam (along with the rest of the media's efforts in this regaurd) until the day she croaks, and beyond. After all, we STILL tell Nixon jokes, don't we?

I'm pretty sure you're still focusing on the Tina Fey SNL skit, and not the actual interview of the former governor.

As was previously established in this thread, Governor Palin never made the "from my house" comment at all, and I'd be willing to bet that a lot of lefties confuse the Fey skits with reality.

Nope, I was just curious.

kcchuckoldmist you said
"Personally I think she is the first of her kind a celebrity politician more famous for being famous then anything. Somewhat the ultimate puppet for the behind the scenes people of the far right wing. I am not sure she has the effort and discipline it takes to become President. "

Your wrong,,,,,,the first was Obama, who by the way could not hold a candle to Sara Palin, lets see, besides raising a family she helped run a family business took on the big boys and beat them became Mayor then Govonor.......what has Obama done? hummmm lets see........he was a community organizer (which he was unsuccessful at untill he joined with the radical Rev.  Wright....read his book)  he was a part time professor teaching Acorn philosopy, he was a lawyer for less than a year, which he hated because he felt he  did not "fit in" and  where he helped represented  slum lords, who in turn,  helped him buy a house next door. oh  and he wrote 1, though his name is on 2,  books, read them both, they were not written by the same person, he defentely wrote the second book, it rambles like he does when he talks off prompter......he became a state senator for a year and a half, most of that time runnin for senator.....he was in the senate for a year and a half, most of that time running for president.... what do you think got him elected besides cleberity status? and what has he done since? hired a bunch of czars to run everything they can get their hands on and stay on the campain trail at town hall meeting that are stacked with supporters, did u really think that 11 year old girl was picked out of the crowd at random?  more coolaid anyone? .......hey as the saying goes......if he can do it, so might she.........and  least Sara Palin has some background experience!! And she loves America,,,,,,she believes in building America up not appologize for being part the greatest country on God's green earth!!

This was a joke though, right?  An attempt at satire to demonstrate how undereducated anyone who would support Palin(at this point in time)?

You almost had me going.  The few spelling mistakes was cool.  But the grammar and punctuation were so pathetic it was a dead give away!

Thanks for the post!  I am still laughing.

I do agree anyone who supports this psychopath right now(possibly later she can redeem) herself would obviously not know how to structure a meaningful argument.  I do think you went over the top.

But

Kudos

Sounds like you need a grammar class refresher. That wasn't the subject at all. The subject was what insight she gained *from* that proximity.

And her reply was that they were neighbors. Well no f-in' shit. A pre-schooler can look on a map and see that. He asked what INSIGHT comes from that knowledge.

That's because they only needed to change the words of ONE interview for a skit. After that, Tina used the exact same words Palin used and just emphasized them differently.

the only difference between the two is that one is intentionally inane
