I'm pretty sure you're still focusing on the Tina Fey SNL skit, and not the actual interview of the former governor.

As was previously established in this thread, Governor Palin never made the "from my house" comment at all, and I'd be willing to bet that a lot of lefties confuse the Fey skits with reality.

I'm pretty sure you're not reading anything I'm writing because I gave the exact interview quotes and repeated them several times.

But hey, it's worth repeating one more time, just because reality is so much funnier than sketch comedy:

EXCERPTS: Charlie Gibson Interviews Sarah Palin - ABC News

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

PALIN: They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

Then there's the Africa as a country quote...

The "I read 'em all" quote about what magazines she read to stay current...

The fact that she had NO IDEA what the Bush Doctrine was...

The abuse of power in getting a contrator who wanted juicy Alaskan State building contracts to build her house for her

The "Bridge to Nowhere" lie.

Preaching abstinence only education, while Bristol was standing there, knocked up.

Pressuring a librarian to ban books from the Wassila township library,

And on, and on, and on....

I know, politicains walking away from offices they were elected to, absolutly horrible. How dare Obama and Hillary let the People of Illinois and New York down.

That's pretty silly. By this logic, nearly everyone in office let a constituency down.

I agree that it is silly, but I am not setting the standard. Not all politicians, just ones that quit thier posts before thier term is over.

Would you people just let this Siberian Barbie go hunting and leave the rest of us alone.....

She has plenty to do now with her new found star status, maybe she and Huckabee can start their own morning show. at least I could turn the channel on that. Just quit enticing this gargage about her. I don't want to even imagine her whining out a complete State of the Union Address, never mind watching Putin, Sarkosy and other world leaders staring at her tits somehow feeling I'm supposed to be offended as I, a red blooded American male, am I staring at them too.

So, I assume you would include Bush and how he let the people of Texas down.

If I actually supported that standard, I suppose so RML. Bush, along with Palin and Obama, would be counted in the stupid standard put forth by lefties. In case you didn't notice that I called it silly before. At least 3 lefties have mentioned it on this thread so far. Why don't you snipe at them for using it?

We tried, but the dumb bitch was too stupid too stay out of the limelight. She's been trotting her 'downs baby' back onto our TVs with assinine claims of "death panels" that anyone with two brain cells knows is total bullshit.

Because there is a difference, which seems to have eluded you, between remaining in public service by moving on to a higher office as opposed to just deciding you want to quit because people are being mean to you.

rightwinghippie -> RE: 6 steps to get Sarah Palin to the White House (8/17/2009 1:41:53 AM)

That's a spin reason. I suppose if you want to claim that standard you can. Quite a few folks on here seem to think she is still in Politics, and positioning for a run at higher office...

Frankley we have had an army of outsiders dumping money and interest into our state to make her ineffective. It worked. We are a small state, with serious issues. We have a real state with real stuff to do, and her stepping down helps us. It's like settling a nuiscance lawsuit. If her going campaigning around the nation helps get one job in Ak, She's doing good, by me.

Watch the Chris Matthew show

They had Kathleen Parker of the Washington Post this week and she said at the end of the show during the segment " Tell me something I don't know" Kathleen Parker said at the Governors meeting in Aspen Colorado Sarah Palin was running hard and it looks like she's going to run for the nomination and the Republican governors were scared.

A spin reason? She quit in the middle of her term because she wanted to do something else. Not because she was elected to another position. Sorry but there is a big difference between the two. Now this may have turned out good for the state, but it doesn't change what she did.

rightwinghippie -> RE: 6 steps to get Sarah Palin to the White House (8/17/2009 12:40:38 PM)

Obama and Hillary quit because they wanted to do something else. Their reason is ok with you, that's fine, your spin on it. We can disagree. O and H essentialy quit their jobs before being elected and let their states down, missing votes, ect (while still collecting $).

I can't speak on her behalf (I wish I had the insight you have have *wink wink*), but I reckon she quit because she knew that she was on a losing streak, and that she finally realised she doesn't have the intelligence to sail that particular wave.

luvs2pleaseU -> RE: 6 steps to get Sarah Palin to the White House (8/17/2009 2:55:39 PM)

The best thing that could ever happen for the Democrats is for the GOP to nominate Sarah in 2012. It would be a landslide. So in my opinion....nominate her. Nothing like an airhead, wolf shooting, environment destroying, religious hypocrite who quit her last job before finishing it to get the nod. [:D]

Yea well what ever her reasons, it definately changed my opinion of her. Not that it was ever real high.
