I don't pay any attention to anything put out by DailyKos. Nobody does, do they? They deal in absolute  garbage, they're the bottom of the barrel.

Keith Oberman has more integrity. Chris Mathews isn't as biased...

Show us where FOX has falsified video, like MSNBS.

Review the Hannity links from my previous post. The first two are falsified video.

So you're saying the unedited video of Hannity lying is somehow incorrect? The video is available directly from FNC if you want to search for it. It's also up on mediamatters and a number of other sites.

Unless you can prove that they all somehow used CGI to create a clip of Hannity blatantly lying I have to wonder what your point was?

Most of the major news outlet are liberally biased, yes.

Most honest people easily admit to that, as well. It's well known that journalism students (and therefore journalism graduates) tend to be very Liberal, it's just one of those annoying facts of life.

That there is one network that bucks that trend drives certain very left leaning individuals completely mad, too - but it is lovely to have some balance in the media for a change.

Well, that settles it.

You've convinced me.

Every major news outlet is liberally biased and we can only rely on Fox to give us the true story in a fair and balanced fashion.

The short bit of your DailyKos video clip I watched was heavily edited.

I wouldn't really call this a lie, more a case of sheer stupidity if you ask me.

Absolutely none of this is true, Sanity, it is pure bullshit. Just off the cuff,
how much money is floating around in the media? So, if I follow the logic, liberals make money, and conservatives pay taxes and are treated like dogs, so, given that the power to talk rests with the liberals, the power to govern rests with the liberals, what is the advantage to being a fucking conservative? They can't actually do anything because of the liberal media, and the fact that they can't lower your taxes to zero..........yet many countries whose taxes are higher and whose media is more conservative do as well if not better than us at a Joe the Plumber level............waltz me thru the fog of war here

Sanity -> RE: MSNBC's Blatant Lies and Bias (8/21/2009 8:43:33 PM)

Did he have a human moment?

I suppose Bill O can do that, on occasion - and still remain the most highly rated program. Mainly because he does...  [:D]

I don't always agree with him and I rarely watch him, but he seems like a pretty okay guy.

I can't stand Hannity.

Beck kicks and stomps and shreds ass, but I don't always agree with heim either.

But he can be pretty damn entertaining at times.

For all the hate that the left puts out towards Fox News, it's funny how popular it remains. The hate thing must just be a real fringe movement...

So much for off the cuff, because off the research,

quote:

Journalists’ Ideology

As was the case in 2004, majorities of the national and local journalists surveyed describe themselves as political moderates; 53% of national journalists and 58% of local journalists say they are moderates. About a third of national journalists (32%), and 23% of local journalists, describe themselves as liberals. Relatively small minorities of national and local journalists call themselves conservatives (8% national, 14% local).

Internet journalists as a group tend to be more liberal than either national or local
journalists. Fewer than half (46%) call themselves moderates, while 39% are self-described liberals and just 9% are conservatives.

Among the population as a whole, 36% call themselves conservatives – more than triple the percentage of national and internet journalists, and more than double the percentage of local journalists. About four-in-ten (39%) characterize their political views as moderate, while 19% are self-described liberals, based on surveys conducted in 2007 by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press

http://www.stateofthemedia.org/2008/Journalist%20report%202008.pdf

quote:

Voters overwhelmingly believe that the media wants Barack Obama to win the presidential election. By a margin of 70%-9%, Americans say most journalists want to see Obama, not John McCain, win on Nov. 4. Another 8% say journalists don't favor either candidate, and 13% say they don't know which candidate most reporters support.

A separate study released Wednesday by the Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism looks at the media’s recent campaign coverage and finds that McCain received significantly more negative than positive coverage between the GOP convention and the final debate. The study says that press treatment of Obama has been somewhat more positive than negative, but not markedly so. [See "Winning the Media Campaign" released October 22, 2008.]

In recent presidential campaigns, voters repeatedly have said they thought journalists favored the Democratic candidate over the Republican. But this year's margin is particularly wide. At this stage of the 2004 campaign, 50% of voters said most journalists wanted to see John Kerry win the election, while 22% said most journalists favored George Bush. In October 2000, 47% of voters said journalists wanted to see Al Gore win and 23% said most journalists wanted Bush to win. In 1996, 59% said journalists were pulling for Bill Clinton.

Which video are you claiming was edited to change what Hannity claimed?

MarsBonfire -> RE: MSNBC's Blatant Lies and Bias (8/22/2009 8:04:45 AM)

Glad you like crybaby Beck, Sanity. Nice to know we're watching one of your heroes lose all of his major sponsors because he called the POTUS a racist.

(waving bye-bye to Beck... who is on suspension this week while the bosses at his network decide if he's worth the trouble of keeping or not.)
