Oh, we shouldn't said anything bad about Sir Ted because he is dying???? What about Mary Jo Kopechne, the woman he left to drown after the car accident. Sorry I have not use for him or his family....

Just as sure as the sun rises, mention Ted Kennedy and you will have a conservative bringing up the accident.

Refresh my memory, is that what the court ruled?  That he left her to drown?

Of course Ted wasn't convicted, do you honestly believe the courts would?????? Money talks, bs walks or in this case, money keeps you out of jail..

If that had been a average working class man that waited 10 hours to report a so called hit and run where someone was killed, the court would had charge him with murder.

Just like his nephew William Kennedy was charge with rape in Fla, he walked

Yeah, and Nixon was never impeached, sorry, but that's kinda how it sifts out at that level/
But you go, girl!!!!!!!!!!!

Sanity -> RE: Ted Kennedy (8/21/2009 8:28:07 PM)

The people of Massachusetts knew that as long as they kepr re-electing Ted Kennedy, not just Conservatives but everyone with a sense of justice will remember what he did to that woman on that night.

If Liberals didn't like having it brought up they should have sent that old ass out to pasture instead of placing him up high as the great god head of their party.

Is that right?

How many wealthy people have you seen convicted and sent to prison?  Do I really need to provide a list?

I mean really, what are you suggesting here?

That the police, prosecutors, and judge were all bribed?

Yes please provide a list and I will provide you with one of people who didn't go to prison. Hell yes, police, prosecutors and judges can be bribed. Prosecutors and judges need money for re election campagin and also well connected people.
You can keep believe Teddy is a god and I will keep believe he is a asshole.

I quit trying to figure out Yoko Ono (and Lennon's bizarre attraction to her) a long, long time ago.

It hurt my head to ponder it.

K, here's a thought, could be as simple as she had tits, and he tumbled for 'em.......why does there always gotta be a big bang, a point of inception?

Arpig -> RE: Ted Kennedy (8/21/2009 9:02:25 PM)

Well that and a whole lot of acid.

mnottertail -> RE: Ted Kennedy (8/21/2009 9:18:27 PM)

In another vein, Arpig.......simply could be a whole lotta shakin' goin' on

popeye1250 -> RE: Ted Kennedy (8/21/2009 9:54:58 PM)

Comming from Massachusetts Ted Kennedy is a scumbag of the first order.
He was the runt of the litter and could never stand up with his brothers. He was "famous" for stiffing bartenders and waitresses.
The Kennedys think that senate seat "belongs" to them.
This just shows what happens when we don't have *term limits.* It wouldn't surprise me if they try to get that borderline retard Patrick "Patches" Kennedy (D. R.I.) into that seat when the drunk goes room temperature.

LOL, Ron, I got the fuck out of there long ago! I'm happily ensconsed in Myrtle Beach, S.C. by way of Maine and New Hampshire.

I'm a Liberal, and I agree with this statement entirely.

To Ted Kennedy, the man, I wish that his passing will be gentle, and that he and his family are emotionally prepared for it.

To Kennedy D-MA, I say "good riddance", and wish that he could have been removed under less personally unfortunate circumstances.

Our party needs better than the likes of him.

The people of ma have elected ted kennedy since the early 60s
they did this (liberal and conservative alike) so that people (with a sense of justice) will remember.

Liberals don't like it brought up, but he is the god of the liberal party.

OK, I follow that logic Sanity, it writes itself.
So, who is the swinging dick coming out of the conservatives to insure our way of life and to see that ted kennedy never dies?

Curious, is all.

I never said he was a god.

What I did say was I find it extremely distasteful that those complaining of partisan politics are themselves engaging in it by not even having the decency to let a man die in peace.

As for the other ridiculous nonsense in your post, I would think that if he escaped prosecution through bribery such a fact would have eventually come to light after 40 years.

servantforuse -> RE: Ted Kennedy (8/22/2009 7:24:02 AM)

Ted is do as I say not as I do  limosine liberal. A few years ago he put the brakes on plans to build a wind farm in the Atlantic Ocean. He didn't want to see them from his familys Cape Cod mansion. It's perfectly alright to build them where everyone else can see them, but not the Kennedys.

Sanity -> RE: Ted Kennedy (8/22/2009 7:38:41 AM)

The partisan politics are on Ted Kennedy, he's the one who asked for the law to be changed again.

If he wanted to "die in peace" then he would STFU .

And I've even heard he doesn't brush and floss after every meal as 4 of 5 dentists recommend.
