quote: And somehow you switching from saying it was completely non partisan, to of course it is partisan, thats the American way. But I don't know, I think I have said what I can about this issue...barring any new ideas, you can have the last word. ORIGINAL: rightwinghippie "RWH, A Dem is going to get the seat anyway. It's been three decades since they voted a republican into office in MA." Actually they had a Republican Govenor 5 years ago, which seems less than 3 decades. That was why they changed the law in the first place. Nothing wrong with changing your mind, but pretending you didn't seems kind of cheesy. We were discussing senate seats..and my comment was factually correct.....it has been thirty years since a republican from MA saw the inside of the senate other than on a tour. Look it up. And I don't deny it.....I was less than correct when I said that partisan politics had nothing to do with this. I am sure that if a republican was governor, Kennedy would not have opened his mouth. And having realized that, I still didn't think it the horror you try to turn it into. Changing your mind is perfectly allowable. For example, you said in your previous post "quote: And somehow you switching from saying it was completely non partisan, to of course it is partisan, thats the American way. But I don't know, I think I have said what I can about this issue...barring any new ideas, you can have the last word.".....but you obviously changed your mind.....now I'm fine with that...I like discussion. But are you going to admit that you changed your mind as well...or slip into self described cheesiness?
