No need for such an example - I'm transgendered, and have been since I was born. In the eyes of many people I am flawed and to many not even worthy of a primary relationship or indeed anything which requires regular or sustained contact with them.

However I handle it, I deal with it, I get on with my life the best I can with the people who accept me. Is it appealing? No it's just a part of me, nothing more, nothing less.

I'm not trans. Psychologically I am a woman who shows up in a woman's body. I am a submissive female and I like wearing pretty dresses, cooking, cleaning and looking afer a man.
Sis, having come back from doing a workshop at BiCon, reckoned I am absolutely flawed. That at BiCon I would have been at a dsadvantage. Except of course I'm bisexual or at least heteroflexible.... (thanks Lushy by the way). So I'd get in.
See what I am saying here?
This is a site for sadists, masochists, perverts and queers? Well lets just say LGBTIQBDSM welcoming.
You'd think an honest and open admission of being insightful about being flawed would be ok. But maybe it's not.

I don't understand why there is a question.

You claim to be a qualified therapist.

You cant spell, use correct grammer and all your relationships are online disasters.

The only replies you listen to are the ones that validate what you think!!!!

Look at yourself, then you may find the answers, and please God dont try and advise anyone else.

Thank you, Frazzle!

You expressed what I was hesitant to say to the OP since I've only been registered here for a short time. But, in that time, I've read many of her posts. Again, thank you! You summed up what I was grasping to say.

I dunno Leirin you seem to be doing quite well on all the other threads you have attacked other people, not just Prin, but also Pirate and a couple of others.

And I haven't got through the entire thread but you're at it again, having a go at the other posters on this thread - LaTigresse, lally2, and so on and accusing us of being delusional.

Seriously sistah, get off your high horse and take a few chill pills.. I don't know where your anger is coming from or what your issues are but please - get a grip okay?

And that goes for a few others who seem determined to come on these boards and slop their bile, bitterness and venom around.

It's not necessary it doesn't contribute anything to the topics and besides this is an ADULT site not somewhere where you can act freely like a 5 year old.

Roselaure -> RE: Flaws (8/25/2009 6:31:14 PM)

I don't usually post without reading the discussion, but I just wasn't up to wading through 100+ posts...please excuse me.

Flaws.  Hell yes I have them.  Perhaps not all the same ones I used to have, some I have overcome, some I am still struggling with.  But it's our flaws that make us vulnerable, interesting, truly human.  In recognizing our own flaws we can know ourselves more deeply and in recognizing the flaws of those we love, we can become even closer to them.

Some people do not seem to see flaws in those they love.  That kind of love and acceptance is remarkable, but perhaps they miss out on truly knowing the real person.  I want to know someone in all their virtues and vices, perfection and imperfection.

Clearly some flaws are deal breakers, but that largely varies from person to person.  Most of us have an idea of what is acceptable to us and what is not.

In the words of Leonard Cohen, who can say anything better than I can, "Ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering.  there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in."

I was going to stay out of this thread but I can't stop myself anymore.

Not one person on this thread gives a shit fucking molecule what anybody's "Sir" has to say.  So, put away the Shangri-La records.

All I gotta say about sir is, I cannot say much for his taste.

MsMillgrove -> RE: Flaws (8/25/2009 7:35:56 PM)

Here's one of my flaws. I hate to cut paste and answer a lot of questions.
And I can only remember one question at a time.
So I'll answer the last: asked if as a D type you will train and iron out flaws.

I hate ironing, any kind. So I don't do it. Someone else can do it, or not.

I do train. I train a sub in learning how to please me. I reward them for learning and performing well. If the flaws are too terrible, then I don't train that person as we aren't suited.

ok just recall you want to know if we see ourselves as flawed? At a certain point in life, you get tired and you've done about all you can to improve.. so you try to maintain what you've got and you don't gaze at yourself in the mirror.. So no, I don't see myself as flawed, I'd need to put my glasses on for that and I forget where I put them.

So for the record: I am not here as a therapist. I am not offering therapeutic services here.
I'm here as a s-type and also happen to be a writer/academic/therapist/mother.
If I were a hairdresser and an s type I doubt I would get so personally attacked.

I see your point Prin. It is utterly amazing and uttering asinine how how a an OP sudenly gets twisted into an attack on the OP's career. Too bad they never comprehended exactly what was asked in the OP.

beargonewild -> RE: Flaws (8/25/2009 7:44:46 PM)

Bring it on.

I'll see your sir and raise you a pound of common sense and a gallon of politeness.

~FR~

What a fucking train wreck. Some of the humor made me chuckle, but now I wonder how warped I am at the compulsion to read to the end of this so far.

People calling in their Sir's, purposeful obtusions, mental sparring with the obviously impaired, and I learned a new word that Ron used.

This is sad and funny at the same time.

leadership527 -> RE: Flaws (8/26/2009 12:00:34 AM)

Damnit Orion.. that's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Hey wait.. are you perfect too?

Don't waste my time with your BS. I never THREATENED anyone that my Sir would respond to any of you. I only suggested that IF any of you had a problem with my posts, you are more than free to take it up with him.

I'm not even suggesting that he will support me whole-heartedly. Just saying that a good number of you should stop the BS and mudslinging.

Again, cmail me and I will forward those cmails to my Sir. Thanks for your time.

oh but thats the point love noone gives a shit about you or youre Sirs opinion of you - or his opinion of us, for all i know he could be all in youre imagination, which is why you have to keep manifesting him time and again, to make him real for youreself.

for all i know youre a bloke not a girl and nothing you say is based in reality atall - so you see, its not relevant what you or youre sir think or feel about me or anyone else.

this is all about you and frazzle being snarky and people not finding it appropriate.

personally i think youre a troll, but thats just my opinion.  have a nice life.  im not going to respond to anymore of youre annoying twatty posts.

Please note I'm not actually disagreeing with you, but: whenever someone on a public forum says something like "no-one gives a shit about you or" or uses the term "us", it always makes me wince a bit ... I don't actually like having people speak for me, or make comments on my behalf, and it's not necessarily accurate either - somewhere in the ether there may well be someone who does care. Gawd help em, but it’s their choice to.

Not having a pop, you understand, coz you're not the first person in this thread I've seen do it, just making a small point. A person can only ever speak for themselves, in a personal capacity, unless one counts slaves I suppose, and then only their owner(s).

PS: "twatty" is an excellent word - I use it myself from time to time, and feel it should be used more often [:D]
