You can be a Domme on a budget! thats how I started out and let me tell ya craft stores, dollar stores and Kmart have alot to offer. I started out with a cheapo crop from a tack store, some rope and clothespins from a dollar store and clothing from Kmart. What I did spend money on was informative books on female dominantion . Here are some recent ones you may wish to check out:

Female Dominance: Rituals and Practices
by Claudia Varrin

The Art of Sensual Female Dominance: A Guide for Women
by Claudia Varrin, Cynthia Lechan

The Mistress Manual: The Good Girl's Guide to Female Dominance
by Lorelei

Those books taught me  alot and later on over the years I've accumulating quite a bag of toys. In fact I have so many now they don't fit into a bag So I am now looking for a house to buy with space for my own dungeon. All good things happen in time.

As far as subs go just be careful and take your time, follow your gut instincts. There are ALOT of men claiming to be submissive when all they want is a fuck with some kink. You might want to check into a local group and attend a munch or two to meet people that way.

Good luck and enjoy.

Welcome to the boards, and the lifestyle.

You've already received a lot of good advice from others here, so I'll keep it short.  Be patient, be selective, and be safe.  The right match is out there, somewhere.

Good luck.

Regards,
ATP

Thank you so much for all your advice. I am just glad that I don't have to continue in this search, at least for a while have to search anymore. But the journey has just begun. There is so much exploration that lies in front of me. So much of my true nature to reclaim. I'll attend some munches, buy some rubbers and of course, a woman needs a strap-on.

One piece of advice I'd give you is to get involved in the face to face scene.  Check www.darkheart.com/usalist.html for a group near you and attend.  Don't expect to find someone right off, but be polite and talk to a lot of people.  Dominant women want someone they can be proud of so occasionally look in a physical and a mental mirror and see if you can do more in that regard.

Good luck.  I posted a note a few days ago about how everyone I knew who stuck to it has found a partner
