I'm not asking this in a BDSM scenario, btw.

The problem my Sir and I are having is stupid neighbors who keep us awake till like 4:00 am every damned night.

We confronted them earlier and one of the idiots shoved me into a brick wall. That fucking hurt and not in a good way. My Sir called the shift commander for our local PD but the idiot had his phone set to 'leave a message'.

I'm not asking for a solution or sympathy. All I am asking is whether or not anyone else has had to deal with less than intelligent cops and the problem is NOT BDSM. It's just generally stupid cops.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you, but I'm not guilty of generalizing

My Sir and I are still attempting to get a shift commander on the phone without calling 911. Thanks for your input since I had to get 15 staples in my head after the stupid neighbors threw me against a brick wall.

You're entitled to your opinion. Just don't expect it to coincide with what we've been through with a bunch of corrupt cops.

Generally police stations have non-emergency numbers listed, though I'm guessing that's what you dialed since it'd be sort of weird to know the personal number of a local shift commander.

Still, "leave a message" doesn't usually equate to "corrupt" and you should probably check your attitude before you talk with the police.  They'll probably not like it very much if you're being pissy with them and won't focus on the real problem, your neighbours.

I'm assuming that this has taken place within the past few hours or so, otherwise, it shouldn't take longer then that to get ahold of the police for non-emergency situations.

Personally I think you should calm down before you start jumping to conclusions and slinging insults.  Being angry never helps any situation at all.

You've been assaulted. Call 911. It sounds like you're dealing with violent neighbors not stupid cops. You said this happened at 4 AM. The shift commander was probably sleeping and only takes calls from the ODO, not private citizens.

15 staples in the head - ouch.. much better when things like that are consensual. Did your Sir go apeshit when that happened? I know if someone even lays a hand on me, much less were to shove me, Himself would lose it and all that would be left to do is figure out where to hide the bodies. I love New Yorkers!

I'd get a lawyer if I were you, too. 15 Staples in the head.. but there might be complications down the road that you don't know about yet. 911 first though. Can't imagine why you don't want to use the system that's in place for events exactly as you've described given the situation.

Leiren,

You were assaulted, calling 911 was the proper thing to do.
Someone would have been arrested.

I am guessing these are the same stupid cops who wished to speak with you last week when you had been drinking and you informed them they needed a warrrant to come inside your house?

I agree with others you chose to call a direct line of someone and decided that cops are stupid because you were the person who 1) decided not to call 911 or 2) decided not to go to the police station after you went to the hospital and got stitches to make a complaint or report and instead came home got ON the computer to bitch about stupid cops. You mention the shift commander specifically, i am lost as to why you only can talk to him. Are there not other officers on duty who are capable of taking a report or a complaint if you call the non-emergency number and explain you need a car to come out? OR did you ask and they asked you to come down to the station perhaps or come in the morning? It could also be the shift commander is out on a call or out due to a 911 call from someone else. Especially in this economy, many times the manpower of the stations are cut down on so they really don't have the manpower to be at your beck and call and really may not be sitting at their desk just waiting for your call.

I still am lost as to why cops are stupid in this situation.

If you were so severely attacked that it required 15 staples to close the wound, why are you not contacting 911? You must have gotten the 15 staples prior to the initial post, since there is approx a 50 min interval between that one and the second one. If you went to the hospital with such a severe head wound, why did they not call the cops while you were at the ER?

Something seems odd here.

I use super glue for skin wounds and try to avoid walls.

Isn't super glue an irritant?

Sometimes the ER will make the call.

I would call them back and file the report.  You have to build a file if you wish to get anywhere....

Isn't super glue an irritant?

Warning...thread hijack.
Superglue was actually developed during the Vietnam War to use for soldiers who had wounds that needed immediate closing. It works, my um had it used on his face in the emergency room about 2 years ago instead of stitches. Less trauma to the skin, faster healing, then it naturally comes off with the healing skin in a few days.

The skin irritant comes in because the glue reacts to the water in human skin and it becomes very hot. When you apply it you'll feel some heat but it passes. So don't use it if the area to be glued is large, it can cause burning then.

Back to the regularly scheduled program...

Being assaulted is a perfectly valid reason for calling 911. Trying to take care of this under the radar will get you nowhere.  Calling 911 gets a ball rolling that puts forces in motion that will take care of your problem.

It is absurd for you make blanket statements regarding law enforcement professionals by calling them "idiots" or "stupid".  We're obviously not getting the full story here.

Yes, I have had to deal with a few stupid law officers.

I have many many friends and acquaintances in law enforcement and, based upon their drinking stories, they have to deal with A LOT of really stupid civilians.

Therein may lie the answer to your problem.

If I had staples put into my scalp you better believe I'd be calling 911. Actually, if I were assaulted as you were I would call 911.
