luckydawg -> "Truther" in the White House? (9/4/2009 9:24:07 AM)

A truther on top of being a communist (cofounded a group called Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, rooted in Marxism and Leninsm.)    Is it ok to call someone who founded a group based on Marxisst Lennism a communnist?  It seems descriptive at that point.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/09/controversial-obama-administration-official-denies-being-part-of-911-truther-movement-apologizes-for.html

This scumbag refuses to explain why he signed the "911 Truth Statement".

And needs to be fired.

Today.

You say that as if there is something inherently wrong with communism.

As far as the truth document goes if he signed it in error due to not reading it properly then you have to wonder about other things he could possibly be putting his name to without reading them properly.

What like politicians do with bills?

He's a communist, a racist, a truther conspiracy theorist - all that and more. Is there no one in the Obama administration who is responsible for vetting these Czars before crowning them?

Or maybe they just plan on blaming it all on Glenn Beck.

What makes you think they weren't?

Aye, you're very perceptive. There are deeper questions lurking, aren't there.

Slavehandsome -> RE: "Truther" in the White House? (9/4/2009 4:54:17 PM)

Since when did understanding that jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to evaporate steel, become a bad thing? The fact that there was no wreckage at the Pennsylvania "crash" site, doesn't make someone who knows that a bad person. Its interesting to note that Rumsfeld himself admitted on TV on Sept 10th that $2.3 trillion was "unaccounted for", and while it generated quite a buzz that evening, it was forgotten on the next morning. Truthers, who needs the truth anyway? Bah, humbug!

SpinnerofTales -> RE: "Truther" in the White House? (9/4/2009 5:28:48 PM)

Don't bother, handsome. Don't you know that Obama is the only president in history to have less than perfect appointees? More importantly, can't you see that certain nameless individuals are deep in a circle jerk of joy at having another "proof" that Obama is trying to destroy the United States by turning it into a communist totalitarian state. Let's just stand back, let them have their fun, and when they're done, we can hand them a tissue to clean up with.

And we should have known that anyone who has anything to do with the word "Truth" would really piss them off.

OrionTheWolf -> RE: "Truther" in the White House? (9/4/2009 5:32:21 PM)

Oh god not this dead horse again! There has got to be no flesh, and very little bone and hide left on the poor equine.

I have a larger problem with his possible association with looters and rioters from years ago. I have been looking into that, and I cannot find a single place that he condemned the rioting and violence that occured.

This has gotten past the point of amusement. It is becoming a distraction to any rational discussion or debate that can take place. ~Guess Who

Actually, as far as that part goes, I'm not unsympathetic. In my opinion, there are a lot of unresolved issues about 9/11 that would reward looking into. Here's a compilation of them, with links to other videos on the same page. It's about an hour long, and there's some off-point cartoon silliness in the first part, but further along it does assemble information that would appear to give rise to troubling questions.

Are you suggesting that there isn't???  The attempts to make it work have only led to authoritarianism and millions upon millions of dead human beings.  Communism IS inherently flawed because it rests upon an idiotic/moronic/FUCKING STUPID view of human nature.  We ain't there yet, and it cannot be forced.

Arrogance -> RE: "Truther" in the White House? (9/4/2009 8:54:16 PM)

Yeah. The idea of Communism is fine and dandy.

But the actual practice and practicality of it... No thank you.

Actually, communism works very well in very small groups. For example, the kibutzes in Israel work just fine. The problem is that communism is notoriously inefficient when the system becomes larger and complex than a medium size farm. On the other hand, pure capitalism is not a pretty thing to see. Just take a look at the America of the 19th century and the tales of the robber barons for cases in point.

The stupid view of human nature of communism is that everyone can be made to work for the common good.
The stupid view of human nature of capitalism is that those who have power (monetary or otherwise) will allow those who do not have power an even playing field.

TheHeretic -> RE: "Truther" in the White House? (9/4/2009 9:33:09 PM)

And will you acknowledge the amazing progress that capitalism can bring to a nation as readily as you will praise how communal theory can work so well on a farm (at least, until the fieldhand starts fucking the farmers wife)?

Of course I will. Capitalism can lead to amazing progress. The problem occurs when the wealth holders stratify the system and stop progress or stifle competition. Take a look at the story of Wiliam Randolph Hearst vs. hemp for an example.

I don't think there is one "Pure" ideology that works for huge groups. I think you need a little from a lot of different theories.

Reportedly, a large aircraft was flown into the side of the Pentagon. But photos of the scene show no damage to the right or the left of the hole in the side of building, where the wings would have impacted, and there are no wings, tail section, or any other aircraft wreckage on the ground outside the building.

Holy crap, Spinner!  I think we are on the same page!

Where I go from here, is that the theories which work best have the least direct government involvement.    Some things can only be done by government, everything else, ... not so much.

From here, we can get tangled forever in the details of how excess is effectively curbed, and suffering best alleved, but I'll drink to the moment.

Cheers!
