Originally she was going to do it in English but that would definiltly be easy to read and would need to be much more hiden.

I have a Chinese tattoo goes bad story here~~~ There's this guy who wants to tattoo "terrorist" in Chinese on his shin (the reason to tattoo that is totally beyond me...) But he went to do it anyway. And the next day he came back, and showed it to me, and it's a single Chinese character "素", meaning simple, plain, white color, or basic element, it can also mean vegetable. I told him Chinese for terrorist is actually 4 words (恐怖份子), it's a foreign concept, so we don't have single word for that, and we have to make up phrases. But he assured me that before he got it done, the tattoo artist had shown him online on some Chinese/English dictionary. So this tough, big guy, looks really intimidating type... has the word "vegetable" tattooed on his shin, and the tattoo is actually about the size of my palm. Be very careful~~~ (edited for typo)

He has 主 tattooed on His left arm (upper). at the same time, this slave got 奴 tattooed on her lower back, when we decided to be in an M/s relationship together, 6 years ago. (sorry Sunnyfey, neither of us is Asian...so, hate on if you must[:)].) We thought the symbols were nifty and looked great as a "set" representing our Master/slave relationship at the beginning. Since then, we have discussed getting chains tattooed around this slave's ankles and wrists with a tag on one of the ankle chains that includes His signature...but discussion is as far as we've gotten with that.

I remmeber one movie I saw was chinese movie and in it there was this big tough white guy as side character and he is showing the main char his new tattoo. He said check out my tattoo it says dragon! and the subtitle of the tattoo read "soup shop" or something lol. and everyone just said ya that's great and didn't tell him what it meant. lol though he died later so I guess he never had to find out what it really said :P

Actually i like the idea of having matching tattoos hehe maybe she can get Owner or something along those lines since she isn't to keen on "Mistress" as it's main meaning in most asian cultures is less then wholesome :P

I have several tattoos, but none that 'mark' me with ownership. I have a burn scar on my thigh, burned in with an iron, that DOES mark me with ownership. It does not carry his name though, instead, it was a design that we worked on together. If you are going to get tattoos, your best bet is to make sure that you don't go with names. There is no guarantee on the future, and as someone already mentioned, what happens if down the road you are with someone else? They will not appreciate having another's name tattooed onto your body.

no idea what WIIWD means lol but there are several asians i've met that really don't like the term mistress since in vanilla world there it usually means 2nd wife or girl on the side. was even a show in China last year about a man with 7 mistresses or something. it never aired though as one of the mistresses that was voted out ended up killing her self along with several other contestents :P at any rate she prefers "owner" rather then mistress hehe. some prefer teh later to each their own was mearly explaining the reasoning. It definitly doesn't carry the title power of "Master" though espcially in Asia. I have even seen some Dommes use the title Master though only on movies so it might be a translation issue as Mistress definitly doesn't translate as female master in most languages.

He plans on tattooing and branding me with marks that represent him and our relationship. I can't wait. I have kanji on the back of my neck which means to be a joy, to be pleasing.

I drew something on my ex (before she was my ex) and she went and got it as a tattoo as a gift to me. It was what I called her in huge letters on her abdomen. We broke up a year later. It's still there.

This one has several tattoos already and we have sat down together and planned a tattoo that was not intended as His mark on me in the beginning, but as a tribute to Him, for this one was leaving Him at the time. It will have Kanji writing in it and like you say...not everyone can read it, but is very popular. It will go over my heart, so that He will forever be in it, even if we are not together. Recently we also discussed that this one would like for Him to have part of the same Kanji tattooed that this one will have, the part that identifies Him of course. This one thinks it is a beautiful expression of devotion on both parts. And, if for some crazy reason we do part ways again, this one can only hope a new Master would be accepting of the fact this girl had a life before...if ever a new Master she would seek. Cannot live life thinking "What if"! Just go with it!

To break toe mould of Masters having "Master" tattooed on them and "Slave" on their property. I would prefer to have it done in ancient Irish Gaelic which is part of my blood line anyway or even done in Norse Runic which again is part of my blood line.
