What are they mad about? Mostly, because the Dems are succeeding:

Hmm. What could Conservatives, Independents, and Liberals possibly be so concerned about...

quote:

Obama: Health insurance mandate no tax increase

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says requiring people to get health insurance and fining them if they don't would not amount to a backhanded tax increase.

"I absolutely reject that notion," the president said.

Blanketing most of the Sunday TV news shows, Obama defended his proposed health care overhaul, including a key point of the various health care bills on Capitol Hill: mandating that people get health insurance to share the cost burden fairly among all. Those who failed to get coverage would face financial penalties.

Just to comment on the "GOP will gain power in the Senate" come 2010: So, you think the republicans still have South Carolina locked up?  We have a year to go... how many MORE GOP scandals are there out there, just waiting to be broken to the Press? How many more "teabagger" embarassments are brewing? (pun)

The GOP is on a long, slippery slope. The farther down that greased hill they slide, the more razor blades are half buried in the ground. If things keep on as they are, until the midterm, there won't be enough of them left to feed to a chihuahua.

What is your point? I'm sure it makes sense to you, but here on Planet Earth it's somewhat obscure.

I think the above statement needs a rethink. There is a world of difference between those who cant pay, and those that avoid paying.

Its a key point in almost all the HC bills flying around now. And a fair one, i believe, if an option is made available that is affordable.
