I have no interest in seeing crotch shots. Hell I don't even wanna see pics of most of the men on here without a shirt on! I mean really..the majority remind me of seeing my 80 yr old stepfather running around in his shorts <cringe><covers eyes>. All I can remember yelling is "come on! Put on some clothes for pete's sake!"

Maybe you have hit the problem on the head... My silly picture does NOT represent who I am as a whole person...it is a very small part I wish fulfilled. It would be shortsighted to think the pictures people post represent the most important parts of their lives. And even more of a fools errand to think any picture can give you insight into another persons mind.

What can I say?  When someone posts a close-up shot of their cock and nothing else, it's the thing upon which they want viewers to focus.  I didn't say anything about getting insight into someone else's mind beyond the big cock shot, but it's probably not too much of a stretch to think that they're not mainly interested in libertarian politics or something.  lol

In this case, we have the right to be judgemental, because I choose who I will or will not deal with.  Opening with a crotch shot for me, personally, is a bad impression. 

People who open with crotch shots are being presumptuous. Would you just walk around with your dick hanging out at Applebee's?  No, because besides being illegal it would be inappropriate in a setting full of people you don't know.  It's different if you're physically at a fetish gathering, and you know what kind of party it is beforehand.  But imagine if you were in mixed company and mentioned that you were a fetishist, and one of the other people says "Oh really? To be fair a lot of the people on the boards have really prettyful pictures involving a bit of boob or arse. I am constantly drooling over Sunnyfey's, for instance. And I'm showing way more cleavage than I would in vanillaworld.

I suspect that it is due to the fact that men, as a rule are visually oriented, that's why the vast majority of photographic porn is aimed at men.
