Except....

You brought up The Catholic Church in a thread where ACORN and ACORN's actions and the Fallout from them were the topic.

You attempted to distance President Obama from the fray by claiming he believes this should be investigated. I pointed out how hollow that statement is by the very fact that Barrak Obama is the President of the United States and he could call for an independant prosecutor any time he wants...though we shouldn't hold our breath...

To that... you then cried Pope.

The same tactics you so often like to point out in others.ORIGINAL: FatDomDaddy

What I did was get sick of people trying to make political hay out of a situation that should be beyond political hay. What I did was to suggest that, if any of this outrage about ACORN was really about the underlying abomination of sex trafficking and the molestation of UM's  instead of just another chance to bash Obama, there were other worthy organizations we should go after. What I did was get tired of the bullshit.

You can go ahead and try to score points on the issue of the sex trafficking and the abuse of UM's, FDD. I have given my opinion on such actions and the people who take them.If you ever come to the point where you agree that those this single issue is more important than making political and debate points, we'll have something to talk about. Otherwise, I choose to no longer take part in this conversation.

There are plenty of topics where I can understand and even enjoy the point taking, position advancing give and take of political debate. This subject isn't one of them

Some interesting points yes, and yet some wishing or trying to go "off topic" I agree as well.

Alexander requests federal investigation of ACORN
From Staff Reports

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander joined Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) and 18 other Republican senators in signing a letter requesting that the Government Accountability Office (GAO) undertake a "top to bottom investigation on behalf of the taxpayer" of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

The letter says, "Current voter fraud investigations in several states, prior fraud convictions, and new videos showing apparent illegal activity by ACORN employees" warrant a "thorough and transparent accounting of ACORN's activities" to the taxpayer.

I dont believe any company that accepts any public funds should be allowed to hide their "books"... even the Federal Reserve.

The Federal Reserve is not a company. It is a government agency.

Interesting news item: seems the way the funding legislation is written, the GOP can't defund ACORN without also pulling the plug on Blackwater, Halliburton, and god knows how many other defense contracted organizations... I guess the GOP is just going to have to let this one go... otherwise they'll pull a Cheany, trying to shoot the ACORN quail, and instead hit their friends in the face with a load of bird shot. LOL

No it is not.

Only the presidentially appointed Board of Governors , is governmental agency. The rest of the system is not
